Tennessee gets one more chance before they end up on this list.

Huh? This is the first year in 10 seasons that Tennessee has even been picked to win the East.

I hope you're not referring to aTm when saying "afterthought". We are a program on the rise, LSU is declining

Oh man, thanks for that.

The amount of NFL talent on the field that night was ridiculous.

No, just no.

Those two teams were both ridiculous. Proven not only by their dismantling of their entire schedule outside of each other, but the VAST number of NFL players/stars on both teams.

Look at LSU's schedule and results that year.

Can't really argue with that. As an LSU fan my feelings are if you dont want to be on this list, play better in November

Sure they have, but I would rather LSU be overrated than a complete afterthought.

Visibility is good for recruiting.

Mockery isn't, though. Being overrated has its own pitfalls. While I grant that being ignored is probably worse, let's not take that silver lining of being noticed too far.

That has everything to do with match-ups and our last two games could have easily gone either way.

6 straight losses to LSU
2 straight 8-5 seasons
3 straight 5 star Qbs no longer on the roster
6 straight season with an atrocious defense

The list can go on and on

What does that say about the team that hasn't beaten LSU since joining the SEC?

To answer this question, I took an objective approach by comparing the preseason AP Top 25 to the end of season poll after the bowl games, for every year since 2006

quote:

Mark Richt has moved on to Miami, and there is a chance that program garners its first preseason ranking in the top 25 since 2010 (let that sink in)

I'm a little confused. If we have not been ranked in the Top 25 preseason, yet we normally finish in the Top 25, how can we be overrated? This bit of misinformation shows just how worthless this guys article is. We have started ranked in the Top 25 almost every year, and in most years finish at or higher than we start. (Although, I haven't checked lately to see if that holds true from 2006.)

It was a vague construction. "That program" refers to Miami, not Georgia.
