Julio-lead his national championship team in every receiving category, and that was an "off-year" for him-he doesnt belong in this convo.

You Gumps have it all wrong. The reason he is overrated is because the media and some Gumps want to say he is like Owens, Moss, C. Johnson, or Fitzgerald. Most fans think he is good, but should be mentioned with other SEC players like Adams, Jeffery, Childs, and Toliver.

Cody is just flat out overrated. He wasn't a 3 down player and did not dominate the way a player his size should have. It is pretty laughable he was a two time college All-American which is what makes him overrated. He was definitely a good role player for Bama though.

Also Areans was overrated as a CB for the only reason they actually tried to say he is better than Peterson.

LSU players I would agree with are Trindon Holliday, Al Woods, Ciron Black, Tyson Jackson, and probably Buster Davis.

I would probably add Chad Jones as a free safety. He is definitely bad arse in general though.

And everyone who is saying Julio Jones is either full of shite or trying to get a rise out of the Alabama posters. Anyone with common sense knows that you can't judge a player while he's still playing, especially a player who has led his team in receiving for both years that he has played.

His numbers weren't as good this past year because he was handicapped by injury. Wait and see what happens in 2010 before you pass any judgments.

Tyson Jackson

gtfo. he was a bad motherfricker. currently the 18th highest paid player in the NFL, fwiw.

if I had to choose an LSU player I would defnitely say Chad Jones. loved the guy, great attitude, great athlete, great leader.. but he just wasn't THAT good at free safety.

he won that state game with his punt return and 2 goalline stops. He was also pretty good in the bowl game this past year

Speaking of Brodie, it was told to me by an offensive GA at Bama that over half of the sacks in the 2005 Iron Bowl were easily Brodie's fault.

I don't think the dude even likes football, he'd rather be hunting.

If Julio keeps it up though, he's gonna be up there.
