Ohio State in 2005

I've been to every SEC venue, and I've never actually feared for my safety like I did that night in Columbus.

That doesn't sound hostile at all. I take it those are the only 2 away games you've been to?

I've been to auburn, lsu, Tennessee, msu, ole miss, kentucky, and vandy. I'm going to Florida next week. I just haven't been treated that bad. Actually, msu would be #2, but they weren't that bad until they started winning.

Yeah I think walking past the fraternities at any school after a loss is just begging for hostile treatment.

Been to all the stadiums and then some. Worst by far is Ole Miss and Arkansas. The golf course by wAr Memorial makes trailer park trash seem elite and sophisticated.

Worst by far in FAyetteville is ME. :)

This thread is very inaccurate. We have the worst fans ever yet only two posters have mentioned UF.

The UT fan really doesn't count because of their lack of participation in our games recently.

Florida 2006.

LSU had beaten UF the prior two times at the Swamp. UF was ranked #5 and LSU was ranked #9.

UF won 23-10. Jamarcus Russell had 3 interceptions, plus LSU was only 1-3 in 4th down conversion attempts. We moved the ball downfield all day but kept turning the ball over in the red zone.

I was in the upper deck with a buddy surrounded by UF fans (We had purchased some tickets at the stadium) and we were being heckled all game by one white trash guy trying to start a fight. Every time LSU did something well, we'd both yell even louder. Finally in the 4th Qtr when UF intercepted another pass and had the game in hand, the entire section of the upper deck seemed to just start screaming at us and taunting and making threats.

Needless to say, there was about 5 minutes left in the game and this is one of the only times I left a game early. We both thought....the hell with this. This could get UGLY!

One fan starting shiite = the most hostile place you've ever been.

I bet the whole section was wearing gator tank tops and jorts with white reeboks and black socks too.

No. One fan wanted to start a fight during most of the game. Towards the end of the 4th Qtr, the entire Section wanted to get into the action...

This never happens at other stadiums.

When you look back on it, do you share in any of the blame? Serious question.

I've never had any issues at any opposing stadiums. I've never looked for trouble and never found any. I've also never sat near the top of the stadium either. Maybe that's the variable that's important.

Honestly, No. We ignored the guy during the game. I've never been in a fight at a sporting event before. I think it was a combination of just 2 of us in a UF section, and the fact that UF hadn't beaten LSU at home in 6 years.

There was really only one dude, which was easy to ignore, but then after the last Interception, it really did seem the entire Section turned.

I'm not saying that nothing like that has never happened at Death Valley, but I've never been involved in something like that.

It happens everywhere.

I've always maintained that you could exchange fans and give them new gear for a different school and no one would know the damn difference.

Homers always say otherwise because their fans are the best fans. I'm not saying you are a homer by the way.
