One of the most amazing (other than the result and how auburn played) atmospheres i've ever been a part of...but after destroying auburn, the uga fans wanted more blood.

Yep, on all accounts. The most intense and electric atmostphere I've ever seen at Sanford, and I've been to over 100 games there. And you're right, downtown after the game our fans didn't hold back. At all.

Agree. Normally it's only the drunk college folk you have to deal with, but even the old women and kids were getting into it that year.

Yeah...it was crazy that day. I caught verbal abuse from LSU fans. But it was all good. I had a freakin blast that day.

07 Ole Miss, the year the refs called back a big Ole Miss play and gave the ball and win to Bama. We left town with a quickness, oh man they were pissed

1999 Ole Miss. Night game and was sitting by the students....they were tuuuuurrible. Deuce ran the opening kick-off back for a TD and they spanked us. They were very ungracious in victory after the game as well.

Deuce for Heisman stickers all over the place

I've only been flipped off by old ladies twice, once at Starkville and once in Lexington. I guess when your teams suck every year even the old folk get pissed.

Best thing i can say about that game, was after the game whenever a bar started playing solja boy the lines at the bar were non existant becuase all the uga fans were dancing like mad men. Made drinking the pain away a bit easier.

Least Intimitading....2008 Blackout post-game

yeah, I'm sure that was less intimidating than your games with North Texas and Kent State. Pretty frickin weak flame attempt.

We get it, we lost to alabama 4 years ago by 11. Why yall hold onto that game like it counted for 3 national titles all at once I'll never know.

Guess Ole Miss just doesnt get very stoked for Alabama then cause ive been their 3 times and it hardly even feels like a football game...seems like a step up from NFL preseason action

You have to understand that that 2003 game was #3 LSU at #15 Ole Miss. The game decided the West that year. Of course the atmosphere was going to be huge. Every time we play Alabama, nothing is really riding on the game. And we get beat every year.

The fact Mauck threw a pick 6 on the first play didn't exactly calm things down any either.

For me it was 2003 Ole Miss and it's not close.

It was intense. Their fans were on edge. Very rude before and after the game but I chalked it up to inexperience in that type of situation. The times I've gone back haven't been bad at all.

Our atmosphere for the Bama game last year and the Ole Mrs game 2 years ago rank in my top 5, if I don't say so myself.

I might have blacked out right after that due to me screaming and the alcohol I had consumed

2006 SEC championship against Florida were Fish lost the game for us, in my mind I thought half of Arkansas would be there, but once in side i realized we were just a tiny section in the corner pretty much and drowned out by the Florida fans. I was piss drunk and barely remember the game and after the game ended up at some place called Fuji Spa. It was a long flight home.

AU at UGA blackout game. The verbal insults seemed to be endless. Saw an old lady get hit in the head with a nerf ball. The atmosphere was electric, and the fans absolutely wanted blood.

Most hostile: Auburn 1997
They beat a horrible Bama team on a last minute field goal. Walking past some apartments as we left the stadium some clowns shot bottle rockets and threw beer bottles at the Bama fans.

Second most hostile: Auburn 1999
Bama came from like 17-0 down to win 31-17. It was the first win in Jordan-Hare for Bama so a massive crowd went to roll Toomers Corner. It was like a crazy scene from Westside Story. AU fans on one side, Bama fans on the other, cops in the middle. Quite a few folks got tackled, cuffed, and arrested that night (oddly enough, the AU cops felt that mostly Bama fans were the ones that deserved it)

might try and make it up to Athens for the Auburn game this year if my leg is somewhat recovered by then. Eventhough the atmosphere might be kind of laid back for that one as well.

The Auburn/UGA game this year will most def. not be laid back. you might want to wear your ole miss stuff for that one. I am predicting lots of shite going down
