so will a 4 team playoff

That's true. Doesn't change the fact that luck has entered into the equation. LSU lost a game in 2003, 2 games in 2007. If there had been two undefeated AQ teams in those years, we'd be talking about LSU as a BCS flop according to the criteria used here.

00 Alabama started out #3 and went 3-8.
01 Florida vs. 06 LSU would be a legendary game.

2001 Mississippi State. Started like top 5 and won 3 games.

2006 LSU and it's not close. Ton of NFL talent but lacked one single leader.

08 UGA was way more disappointing than 07 UGA.

07 UGA finished the season good after bouncing back from a rough start.

08 UGA finished the season with 3 losses after starting preseason #1, missed the SECCG and lost to Georgia Tech

You know what's funny Georgia is so far in Florida's head that rather than enjoying 2 national championships they want to make it about Georgia not living up to expectations.

Hell I guarantee you if Spurrier would tell the truth he would rather beat Georgia than win a NC.

It just kills all Florida fans that after going 20 and 3 against Georgia that they are still over ten games behind in the series.

Maybe Georgia should sell rental space in Florida fans head cause we own that arse.

2003 Auburn because of poor coaching. Moving a OL coach to OC to run another coaches offense isn't a good idea.

2009 UF and 2010 Alabama are the correct answers to this question.

2009 UF. So much talent, yet so undisciplined and Meyer clearly didn't give a frick about coaching.

Dude had a gang infestation on his team. He was afraid to speak loudly towards Hernandez and his goons

I say he did a good job by just being a alive

As an Ole Miss fan, '03 and '10 for us, but that's not saying much.

2001 MSU.

Preseason Top 15, lots of picks to win the SEC as they were entering the season the best team in the West over the previous 4 seasons. The 2000 team may have been the best team in MSU history but couldn't close out the season.

Beat the crap out of Memphis like they were supposed to - had a big game with BYU pushed back for the 9/11 attacks. Hosted #18 South Carolina on a Thursday night that was the first major sporting event to take place after the attack. Lost a game like 16-14 and the season went downhill fast after a 52-0 payback game at Florida.

Lost another 16-14 game at Auburn, then lost 21-9 to first year Division I Troy on Homecoming in a game that was played in so much rain it looked like a lake. LSU spanked State 42-0 and State got back on the winners side against Kentucky.

Lost to Alabama and Arkansas in heartbreakers before beating Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl and losing to BYU in the worst officiated game in the history of football.

The bowl game against Michigan State was truly men against boys. I felt sorry for Sparty.

That game showed what that team could do when their heads were on straight. Unfortunately, it room bowl practices and 3 losses for them to get their shite together.

A first rounder on the Dline
2 first round RBs
1 first round WR
2 first round LBs
3 first rounders in the secondary
3 first rounders on O-line

2000 Alabama. Started #2. Ended like 3-9. Bye bye Dubose.

Yeah that was painful. Was so excited when the season started, opened up with a UCLA team that was vastly underrated. Bama got their balls blown off in Pasadena. By game 3 it was evident the team didn't give a shite anymore. Alabama was shutout like 3 times that year, one by Southern Miss. Seems like it rained every game too. What an awful year.
