I'm jealous. I would live there tomorrow if I could. My wife would really like to work at CHOA.

We're actually moving to Brookhaven later this year, which I am excited about but also a little sad leaving that area. We really love it over here. Great mix of people, great neighborhoods, great food and drink.

My wife is an SLP and is the same about CHOA. It's the holy grail I think.

That's a beautiful pic of Sewanee. Too bad they quit playing football,

They're still playing.

Not sure they'd fare too well in the SEC.

Rhodes College Memphis (#13) is in the worse part of Memphis. The entire campus has a brick wall around it.

God Bless CHOA. Had a granddaughter born preemie with a ton of respiratory problems along with other things. Was touch & go for 3-4 months but the great Doctors, Specialists, nurses & staff at CHOA nursed her back to health. 2 years later you'd never know how close she was to not making it to her 1st birthday...

I'd argue Christian Brothers (and the Liberty Bowl) is a little worse. They are basically in Orange Mound.

It really is the best. They are elite at their job and they are elite at dealing with people. That's a pretty rare combination.

Folks in Metro Atlanta are pretty blessed to have so many elite hospitals, specifically children's hospitals.

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's in mid town. There are FAR worse parts of Memphis.

I had a buddy that went to Berry College in Northwest Georgia. They've got a pretty fantastic campus imo.

This list lost all cred for me when I saw Rhodes College out of Memphis... I grew up in the metro and without divulging much ...lets just say that I know the City of Memphis very well. Anyway, Rhodes has some nice structures (all made of Arkansas Limestone.) BUT....It is small and is right next door to the most EVIL part of Memphis.. Chelsea/Hollywood; Hyde Park. ..... Orange Mound doesn't have anything on North Memphis. I guess its pretty but its in the ghetto.

It is not in the ghetto. The ghetto isn't far, it being Memphis ans all, but Rhodes is basically next door to the zoo and Overton park. Having gone to Rhodes, we had Zero fear of the area around campus. The campus Has very pretty buildings (the library is insane) but could use more trees and scenery.

I could link robberies and car jackings on here but I don't have the time...The gates of hell are within a block of Rhodes....

Dubyanell, like Wake, suffers from the fact that one does not typically see the campus from a hot air balloon.

Vortex -> Variety Playhouse makes for a good night. Used to like the 5 Spot there too, lots of good jazz.

i expected some dumb comments but who could have known the whole thread would be hijacked by a guy who shouldn't be posting on this board unless Clemson has mysteriously joined the sec without anyone realizing it. why exactly is a clemson fan trying to convince sec fans that your school is so awesome. if i gave a frick about clemson, i would be posting on some acc board
Clemson fan was very defensive. Their campus must be horrible.

Technically,I don't live in Decatur (about a mile away from Emory)but some great neighborhoods, restaurants and bars surround the whole area...there's no way I'd say Emory is a beautiful campus though...too much traffic because it's surrounded by CDC,Emory Hospital and Childrens Healthcare Hospital...way too many people work in the area around the campus.

Which neighborhood?

Agree on the traffic, it's miserable. North Druid and Clairmont are just un-navigable for large chunks of the day.

Really wish that Clifton Coordior train had been approved.
