Sagamore Hills...near The Grove and Oak Grove Market.Yes, Lavista,Clairmont and N Druid Hills are all bad places to be during rush hour.

They did re-do the Oak Grove and Lavista intersection a while back and installed a "smart traffic light"...helped out traffic a ton.

Yes it is but Christian Brothers is not on this list. And believe it or not a Memphis Policeman that I know fairly well told me there is more crime by Rhodes than Christian Brothers

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's in mid town. There are FAR worse parts of Memphis.

Mid town is not as safe as Mid Towners would like to believe.

I'm in Medlock Park. Drive up to that intersection a few times a week to go to Felini's or a few other places up that way.

You need to grab lunch or breakfast at Oak Grove Market if you haven't...been featured on "Atlanta Eats" a couple times and also a great gathering place for the neighborhood folks.

If you've lived there a while I'm sure your very familiar with all the good spots...saw that your moving to Brookhaven...also a very cool neighorhood.

Yep, we have been there 5 years now. Oak Grove Market is great. We go to Napoleon's and The Grove some too.

Yea, it should be nice, we kind of stumbled into a plot of land over there that was handed to us. We'll miss it over there though. Great place.

Wow,nice place to "stumble" on some land...good luck...the neighborhood over here keeps getting better...don't think I've seen a house around me on the market longer than 2 months before it gets snatched up. ITP is getting more amd more popular. In some ways, I guess thats a good thing.

Yep, it is one of the few places I would be excited leaving where we are for. I agree, the area around us has really blown up since we moved in right after the recession. It is kind of one of the last places ITP that isn't in a "redevelopment" phase that is still affordable. Won't be affordable for long.

Rhodes College Memphis (#13) is in the worse part of Memphis. The entire campus has a brick wall around it.

Yes anybody who claims their college has nice campus is defensive. I don't care if you like it or not, and I left there 14 years ago.

This is an opinion thread. Beauty is in eye of beholder.

Downtown Greenville doesn't have a high crime rate, if by downtown you mean the main street area.

West greenville does but that is a low income area that people on the east side of metro never go to.

The greenville numbers are inflated because per capita numbers are used which always make smaller metroes look worse. I demonstrated this with a previous example. Aiken SC, which is about 25000 people, had 10 murders one year. Aiken's per capita murder rate was higher than NYC's, due to Aiken's small population. Does that mean Aiken is really more dangerous than NYC which has thousands of murders in a year?

Only thing you like about Athens is the bars. Bars are everywhere and can only drink at one at a time. The only accolades I have heard about Athens is lots of bars, and REM, B52's, and Widespread are from there. lol

Athens is only better than Clemson if you like more built up places. For college I prefer a quaint little town nestled in the foothills next to a lake.

Clemson plays 2 SEC schools a year, sometimes 3, and I watch a lot of SEC games every year.

How have i hijacked anything, I'm talking about the topic and I have not prevented you from talking about your college or other colleges. I am interested in your opinion about the topic. Do you have one.

Wake doesn't have many wins over Clemson and Wake did have a good running back Barclay for a few years. Wake has been the worse ACC program by far the past 3 years and apparently the football program loses money.

Nice campus though, I went to a game there about 10 years ago.

Yes Athens is just like Manhattan. But I am the comical one. lol

We are discussing most beautiful campuses, not how many bars the downtown area next to the campus has. Elon and Furman would not be rated so high if that was the critieria.

Outside of the south, both University of Washington and University of Colorado-Boulder look cool in pictures i've seen.
