I dont see what the big deal is- Mississippi has finished higher than us the last 7-8 years in recruiting rankings. Mullen is going to beat your arse no matter where we end up
With all of those 2 and 3* players how many SEC West teams besides Ole Miss has Mullen been able to beat since he's been at State?
None.. and thats the point... State fans keep talking about how they don't mind taking 2 and 3* players because thats all their team is now and they keep beating us... and what we're saying is you can keep taking your 2 and 3* players and beat us and whatever other teams are doing shitty but you're clearly not going to compete with the other West teams. You're essentially saying you're happy finishing 5th in the west every year as long as you beat us

Regardless of who we beat in the West, we finished #15 in the Nation in Mullens 2nd year. Get you some of that

This has to be the FEEL GOOD motto for Ole Miss fans who try to downplay Mississippi State's 9 win season this year and their shitty 4 win season.

I am not trying to downplay anything. Yall had a good year and a good team. But I don't get how yall do not at least acknowledge this fact. We are talking about the future, no?
You act like mullen is the end all be all and claim you care about beating other teams in the SEC more than us, yet you are obviously happy only beating us, as well as dan's member.

Because it proves our 2008 and 2009 seasons were both better than your 2010 season. We were 2nd and 3rd in the west and beat ranked teams in our bowl game along with beating LSU and Arkansas.

Your success was a result of the West not being NEAR as strong as it was in 2010. Anybody from the West or across the Nation can tell you that. Since you represented the basement in 2010 in such a lowly fashion, you try your best to push that aside. I know it must really hurt. You will eventually make it out of the basement. I don't see a time in the near future though.

Nobody said anything about claiming moral victories. Just stating that your 2008, 2009 was not as strong as MSU's 2010 team.

whoa, dont change the discussion. The discussion was that you guys are stealing our top recruits, and that means years from now you will be beating us.
I just pointed out that you guys have beaten us in recruiting rankings the last 7-8 years, yet we have won 3 of 4. Winning in recruiting rankings doesnt mean you are going to beat us.

Thats enough of that bullshite- the only teams that could beat Mullen in 2010 won 10 games. They just happened to be in the SEC West.
That will change in 2011- we will finish 4th or higher
