Mullen = 5-7 first year, 9-4 second year.... put together consecutive 8,9,10 win season... recruiting will take care of itself. I know it's tough to swallow for you.

You do realize it is a lot more complicated then that. Why by your theory then did a team who won 4 games get all the top recruits over a team that won 9? If you say money that just proves your theory is wrong and are butthurt.

Which part of what I put in bold has happened yet?

And how would something that hasn't happened yet be tough to swallow for me?

Someone should tell Trahan and Palmer about this. They're too busy being on NFL rosters.

DT Shackeford and 2 NFL linebackers say other wise. You do realize in Nix's system we had 2 top tier defenses in the SEC. There is more to a coach then 1 year.

no son, you are butthurt. You Rebelettes need any type of moral victory you can get these days. It's quite humerous!

but going by your theory a team that is 5-7 shouldnt have beaten a team that was loaded and go on to win the cotton bowl again

ok. But you do realize that certain players have a ceiling that they cannot break, right? And you do realize that better players typically have a higher ceiling, right?

Relying on a recruits to be "coached up" usually ends in disappointment. All you're doing is making excuses and HOPING that Mullen can coach up his shortcomings in recruiting.

Every recruit has to be coached up, regardless of stars. We could go down a laundry list of players who were highly ranked but amounted to nothing.

Would I like to have C.J., Whitehead, etc.? Of course. I'm not trying to downplay that. And I'm certainly not making any excuses. I'm simply saying that whomever State ends up with, I'm comfortable with Mullen putting his team in positions to win ballgames.

I never had a theory. You are the one with the theory and I pretty much busted it. Also in football the best team doesn't always win. But it gives your a much better chance.

Last time I checked, getting a recruit that MSU was trying to get was a real victory. How is that a moral victory when it actually happened?

No, its not.

You know what a real victory is? A victory. On the field.

Recruiting smack is the crutch of the winless.

Played DE on passing downs because of the Lockett injury. Everyone knows he is a LB.

So when 1 school wins by getting a recruit and the other school loses by not getting a recruit that is not a real victory? Wow what kind of bizzaro world is this. If there is a winner and a loser it is a victory.
