BOOM! Probably the biggest blow to their chance at a title....

They don't really have that good of a chance getting to the national title game anyway, IMO.

Their schedule is tough, but possible. With LSU having no proven QB (right now), Auburn breaking in a new QB AND 2 new coordinators, and Georgia's sheer talent, they have a chance to make quite a run. Remember, they don't have to go undefeated. With the respect they would garner from running the gauntlet they have to run, a loss would probably not have any effect, depending on when it occurs. (See LSU last year)
However, left tackle is one of the most critical positions on a team with a right-handed QB. The loss of their starter this week dealt a HUGE blow to an otherwise loaded team.

They will lose at least two, in my opinion, and there will not be a two loss champion this year.

Keep dreaming. No one on this board had probably even heard of Trinton Sturdivant before ESPN messed their pants over the news of his injuries. UGA will be just fine at LT. They have several options, so I wouldn't write them off just yet because EVERYONE on ESPN is saying so.

As far as Moreno returning punts, smoke and mirrors.

If you aren't letting Moreno return punts because of fear of getting hurt you're an idiot. That dude has a lot better chance of getting hurt running through the line then returning punts. If he is your best kick returner then play him. A good return man can as big an impact on the game as a good running back. Get the ball in the hands of your play maker as many times as possible. Period. One big punt return can change the game.

I don't disagree with a single thing you said Infidel, good post. The only problem is, the Bush argument is comparable, but Bush didn't get the load of the handoffs while in the back field at USC, White did. Bush was placed all over the field. Moreno does get the bulk of the carries, and we actually don't have a named second tailback to date. King was supposed to be the guy, but he's getting some serious competition between two freshman at the moment. You can look at that as a good or bad thing I suppose. You do want your best player/athlete to have the ball as much as possible, but if we don't have a guy we can put the load on in case, GOD FORBID, Moreno gets hurt, then we'd be in a hole if he gets injuried on special teams

Two things, i would think a lot of people here would know sturdivant as he started every game last year as a freshman. and since everyone knows so much about our line woes, then they have obviously researched it and known what they were talking about . second thing, once again, ill take asher allen

It seems pretty clear they only know what ESPN tells them about UGA. They're under the impression that TS was our only linemen. Giving them a reality check in BR is going to be classic. Going for three in a row, the middle finger

I seem to remember Craig Davis taking a nice shot to the knee when he did a fair catch against Tennessee in 2006.

I think any time you have an opportunity to put the ball in a playmakers hands it increases your odds of winning. I think it is smart if he is the best he has. If I had a comfortable lead in a game I don;t think I would put him back there but in a hard faught SEC battle, you need things to happen and this could make it happen.

What you have to wonder about is if he is telling the truth. coaches often leak things and then act like they didn't mean to do it. He could be bullshitting us.

The most concerning thing in that article was that he has two freshmen, or walk ons, at both defensive end positions due to injury.

correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure someone will )but as 'violent' as special teams can be,aren't more of the season ending injuries to guys on defense,or blockers turning back trying to make another block ?Sure, him playing special teams will of course but him on the field more, thus the odds of injury will increase, but by and large most injuries on special teams aren't to the returners.
