Mark Richt had a slip of the lip today and revealed that Moreno has been working with the punt return team.
Personally I think it's a mistake because it increases his odds of getting hurt.

I don't think Moreno is super fast just shifty and is not very big. I heard he runs around a 4.5 Forty. The chances of him getting drilled by someone like Chad Jones and lost for the season are not worth the risk. IMO.

No way in hell I would let my start RB return punts. Risk for injury is way too high.

eh it depends. Could end up being big for them. Reggie returned punts his whole career at USC, had no real injuries, and was a game-changer at that position. It's defenitly risky though

Yea, but i doubt LSU had the options that UGA has now.

McFadden and Jones returned kickoffs and never got hurt, but that's a bit different then punt returns.

Agreed. I think Reggie was one of those guys, like Kevin Faulk that was shifty enough to where he didn't take a lot of direct hard hits. I think that is the key. I wouldn't have Moreno returning kicks.

If he is a sick return man, you gotta play him. Richt's not dumb, he's seen the schedule. If he's just decent, hell no.

Maybe...But so did USC with Bush...All 3 were game changers in the return game

actually, it worked pretty well as felix returned a few in his time. i just think punt returning is far more dangerous.

we lost hillis to a deep thigh bruise due to punt returning.

I don't really remember a ton of injuries coming from Punt Returners. I know there have been some, and maybe a lot more than I'm thinking, but it doesn't seem like it happens that often.

Last year. Javier Arenas was injured returning a punt late in the game against ULM. Missed the rest of the year.....
