I didn't say it was the same neighborhood, I am merely pointing out the puzzle the police are trying to piece together. Phone records show the players phone numbers on the suspects phone.
I am just trying to share what I took away from the story for the crow is all. I am not condemning or trying to read anymore into what the article suggests.
It does sound like the cops are suspicious of the two players. Why would the cops have to subpoena their phone records ? If I were them, I would hand them my phones.

It is either suspicious or just procedure to look at all involved. Not enough in the article to buy into the players being guilty. I would suggest letting the case work itself out.

Wanna lay down some facts to back that up? Or is there a relief you feel from talking out of your arse?

Video or it didn't happen.
And our boosters must really fricking blow if we're paying a 3* Fullback out of Shiloh HS.

You act like the staff of the newspaper are NYTs employees
No, but that is what they're aspiring to be so I guess we can forgive them for acting like it.
My point is they are not going to fabricate a story at that point in their career. They do want to work for the NYTs at some point
quote:
the staff consist of students and some of the management are professionals.
And in 2011, the students hit a breaking point with the professional management and walked out.
That lasted three days and the students were given back control.
The management is loyal to nobody but the business of print media and the students are loyal to nobody but their future careers as journalists. If that means potentially writing a scathing expose of the football program (and, oh, have they tried and failed miserably so many times over the years) then so be it.
But I do not think they would jeopardize their journalist integrity at that point in their career. That comes after they leave College.

And I know what the Peabody Award is about. Just ironic based on the picture you paint of the Journalism School.
What picture have I painted of the Journalism school? I haven't mentioned the school itself at all except in explanation of their relationship with the R&B.
I just do not think the University and the School of C&J would allow their students to be part of a Gossip Sheet. Their reputation is on the bottom line, so if they had doubts they would sponsor their own paper.

Pollack did admit he has seen a lot of cheating firsthand. he didnt say where he saw it, but the most likely place for pollack to have seen something like that firsthand was during his career at georgia

If what I read is correct this all occurred about 5-6 months ago. Our players reported the issue. Neither Moorhouse student claimed to know the players and our players couldn't pick them out of a lineup. Could something be up? Sure, but it doesn't seem like our guys would have reported themselves.

Let me tell you a story son. Sit down, make yourself comfortable, pour a glass of lemonade. Wife makes it real nice.
Back in 98, or was it 99, it was before the Great War that began in 2001. I was a Grady student working the summer at the Red and Black, in their old space on Jackson, across from Toppers.
The editor hands me an assignment about the construction going on at Sanford Stadium. Word on the street is they cut down some old oaks, just to bring equipment in.
So I talk to the architect, I talk to a facilities guy, I put a call in to AD Vince Dooley.
Dooley calls me back. I'm at the office.
"Deeprig, call on Line 4. It's Vince Dooley"
So I fix my hair, check my breath, and pick up the phone.
30 minutes later, Dooley has explained to me that 5 big oaks were cut down to get construction equipment to the site, but they planted x-hundred trees around campus to replace them, and have since been awarded by the Arboretum Society of America for all the trees on campus.
So I included all that in the story I submitted to the editor.
Guess which part of the story got left out when it hit the streets.
Guess who never spoke to me again.
frick the Red and Black.
If you are done with your lemonade son, you best go on about your business. We'll be seein' ya.

Stop using logic and taking the high road for your University. This may lead to flow charts all sorts of fun stuff. I doubt it - because of your rivals don't really care. But you damn sure sound like a lot of AU posters during the Cam saga. That story broke about 6mo after the University was aware as well. We obviously pick and choose what makes sense.

Correct. In fact, it's gotten so bad over there that a year or two ago, the entire student staff walked out. The folks that run it do so in the same way that the AJC runs their paper: toss out veiled accusations against the popular kids in town and watch the page hits roll in from both the haters and supporters alike.
Isn't that the proven news business model?

That's what I thought, which is why I'm not sure why this is hard to believe.

I believe you were a writer. You took 6 inches of space to explain something you could have explained in two lines. I enjoyed the lemonade though.

But none of those reports came from a University sponsored organization.
You don't read very well ,do you? They already said it is independent, and not University sponsored. Deflect. Duck. Deflect again.
