Most people didn't give Auburn a chance in hell of winning, why would they be embarrassed?

Well, Id say Auburn cuz they let down the entire SEC for the first time in years, but Bama was a big favorite and got blown out. Still, Auburn shouldn't have even been there and maybe Bama was just disappointed in that fact.

Auburn had a season like the '91 Braves - yeah, it did ultimately have a disappointing ending, but it was certainly a magical ride that no one saw coming.

Neither was embarrassing.

Losing to a top 10 opponent can never be embarrassing, unless you lose by like 40 points.

When you're favored by 17 and lose by 14, that's an embarrassment.
Hell, that's WORSE than our game against Louisville the year before.

I was surprised and disappointed, to be sure. But no - losing to Louisville is much worse. You embarrassed the conference on that one.

We were favored by 14 and lost by 10.
You were favored by 17 and lost by 14.
Math, how does it work?

Oklahoma is one of college football's blue blood programs.

It's not Alabama's fault the line was horrible (Alabama slightly over-rated, OU very under-rated)

And speaking of Louisville, they beat y'all 34-7 in the Fiesta Bowl back in the 90's.

Yeah because the final score ALWAYS shows you exactly how the game went.

I seem to recall UF scoring a meaningless TD late to make it look closer than it was and OU scoring a meaningless TD late to make it look wider than it was.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Pretty sure Alabama has blown out UF 3 straight times and didn't just lose to a D-1AA school.

Which has nothing to do at all with the thread, but okay.

So whose fault was it, then?

Speaking of bringing up the past, remember from 1900-1985 when UF was god awful?

And neither does a comparison of point spreads. We weren't out of that game until the very end. It was definitely not our proudest moment, but it's a far cry from getting manhandled by a 2nd tier ACC team. Feel free to tell yourself otherwise.

I think a fair line would have been Alabama by 10 FWIW.
