There will be no sober Saturday for me this weekend. I'll need plenty of alcohol to be able to tolerate the shite show I'll be witnessing via television.

Before Mauk was suspended I predicted 17-13 SC, but I've had a change of heart. Mizzou will win 27-13.

I'm just happy to have a reason to be excited about the game. Losing to Kentucky took all of my steam away.

The game will prob be a shite show, but if Hansbrough is healthy, Mizzou wins 21-17

Starting this thread to get opinions from South Carolina fans and Mizzou fans alike but feel free to input no matter who your tea is.

I prefer Irish Breakfast, but also enjoy some Earl Grey and Green Tea.

I'm sure most of you know that the Mauk suspension has been a huge headline in Columbia, SC and I want to get some opinions on this. I myself am cautiously optimistic because all though Lock is a freshman he was a highly sought after recruit coming out of high school and for good reason.

Drew Lock is a future NFL draft pick. He committed to Mizzou early and thus was never really given a lot of recruiting hype. He is the real deal, and possibly the best QB Mizzou has ever recruited. Gabbert/Daniel might see their numbers get smashed.

Lock will not be a great fit in the offense we have grown accustomed to seeing with Maty Mauk due to Locks lesser ability to make plays with his legs but with that being said Lock was a gunslinger in high school that did not need to be mobile.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Mauk is a terrible fit for this offense and that has been apparent for the last two years. He does not possess the pocket awareness or downfield vision to run this offense effectively. Mauk would be perfect in Malzahns zone read offense where the occasionally throw the ball downfield. Drew Lock is the perfect fit for this offense and you will see that on Saturday when he is slinging the ball all over your secondary.

South Carolina's defense showed improvement last week but were playing the last ranked offensive team in the FBS and we all know that this has potential be the worst SC team since '99 if things dont turn around quickly.

I'm going to go with the worst team since 99

Nunez brings a chance to change that however, After passing for 180 yards and 2 TD's and rushing for 128 Nunez showed his ability to make plays and to lead this team.

Mizzou has a legit defensive front and a stingy back 7. You are going to have to throw to beat this team, like Kentucky did. Running the ball is not going to end well for USC, whether its from your QB or your RB.

My biggest cause of concern is how unknown Lock is. SC has been made famous for making opposing players look like the greatest to ever play the game of football (McFadden, Tebow, Newton, and most recently Greyson Lambert of UGa) although Lock is not near as talented as some of the guys on this list is he primed to come on the stage with a big time game Saturday? or are there too many other issues going on with injuries for him to make a big impact in his 1st career start?

You should be very worried by Drew Lock. He will pass for 60%+ and will use the entire field. He has driven Mizzou down the field on every possession he has been given except for a tipped INT that wasn't his fault. The worst news that USCjr heard this week was that Mauk was suspended. It pretty much sealed your fate in this game.

Please comment your opinions. I may be a little biased but i have the cocks in a pretty boring game winning 28-17.

This game will only be boring for Cock fans. It is the most exciting game of the year for Mizzou, as the future has finally been unleashed. Lock will make mistakes, if you capitalize on them the game will be close, if you don't, it will be a blow out. I'll go in between, Mizzou 31 USCjr 17.

Well I give up already. Mizzou fans have convinced me that they're gonna win with Lock in there. Congrats!

Who said he was the best QB ever? The guys potential is off the charts. He still has to perform. Everything I have seen from his limited action tells me he is going to run a more fluid and consistent offense than Mauk is capable of.

If you take advantage of his Freshmen mistakes, which there will be, you have a chance in this game.

I havent watched Mizzu play, only highlights and scores. The same for South Carolina.

With that knowledge, I've got the Gamecocks in a 4th qtr upset by 1.

I think it will be a good game and Spurrier has chance to win a road game...just dont get too amped up and get better or anything...not until we close you out.;..then you can beat those taters. We play Mizzou next week...so if you are gonna beat em...please put a stomping on them.

This is this less hyped of the two Suck Bowls this week. Like Vols vs Hogs, no idea what to expect here.
