Starting this thread to get opinions from South Carolina fans and Mizzou fans alike but feel free to input no matter who your tea is.
I'm sure most of you know that the Mauk suspension has been a huge headline in Columbia, SC and I want to get some opinions on this. I myself am cautiously optimistic because all though Lock is a freshman he was a highly sought after recruit coming out of high school and for good reason.
Lock will not be a great fit in the offense we have grown accustomed to seeing with Maty Mauk due to Locks lesser ability to make plays with his legs but with that being said Lock was a gunslinger in high school that did not need to be mobile.
South Carolina's defense showed improvement last week but were playing the last ranked offensive team in the FBS and we all know that this has potential be the worst SC team since '99 if things dont turn around quickly.
Nunez brings a chance to change that however, After passing for 180 yards and 2 TD's and rushing for 128 Nunez showed his ability to make plays and to lead this team.
My biggest cause of concern is how unknown Lock is. SC has been made famous for making opposing players look like the greatest to ever play the game of football (McFadden, Tebow, Newton, and most recently Greyson Lambert of UGa) although Lock is not near as talented as some of the guys on this list is he primed to come on the stage with a big time game Saturday? or are there too many other issues going on with injuries for him to make a big impact in his 1st career start?
Please comment your opinions. I may be a little biased but i have the cocks in a pretty boring game winning 28-17.

My favorite part about this thread will be the amount of people taking the time to post to say how much they don't care.

Good first post.
Mizzou fans will wondering who Nuñez is and cursing him by the end of the game...

Lock will go for 300+ passing yards and at least 3 TDs.

Game boils down to 4 things.
1. Injuries- Mizzou had quite a few starters go down last week, and SC has been banged up, but I hear your best CB is back this week.
2. True Frosh Qb's- Both teams have little film to study. Can Mizzou contain Nunez's legs? Does Lock have awareness and legs to scramble?
3. Cooper Watch - Can Mizzou's D slow down the star? Probably the best player on either side, how big of an impact does he have.
4. Mizzou Star's - Hansbrough has been getting better each week. Brothers is still questionable. The top player on each side of the ball for mizzou. Do these players have an actual impact on the game?

We'll see how it goes.
Nunez is going to have to establish a passing game otherwise Mizzou will simply stack the box.
SC's D is going to have to get pressure on whoever Mizzou has back there.
Special Teams will play a key role in this game once again.
Whichever coaching staff makes the fewest mistakes.
Whichever team makes the fewest mistakes, turnovers, penalties, etc.
Most importantly for SC is to establish a running game without Wilds. That means Shon Carson and David Williams are going to have to take some of the ground game pressure off of Nunez, although Nunez appears to be a very special player.
Gonna need Cooper to have a big game, as well as SC's LBs.
I'm terrified of SC's secondary ... and not in a good way.

I've got the Gamecocks 17-10. Of course I made this prediction before Mauk was suspended, so I have no idea with this new QB.
I mean I hope we win.

At least you finally got that loss off your schedule every year huh? Kyle Field was like our home away from home lately.

We have? Must of missed all the scoring he was producing and the running game taking off with him in there. We must follow two different teams.

gCOCKboi, oddly enough, is a sakerlina fan.

Mizzous offense is best suited for a dual threat qb. That said Blaine Gabbert (happy feet and all) rip shite up as a pocket passer
