Oh yea I get that and most likely our game will come a few years before yours for that reason. The fact that the old leadership in Austin is out, the game actually may come back somewhat soon depending on other factors. What I'm saying is, I hope kansas just gives Austin the finger and decides to schedule you guys

This thread is about rivalries.

Unless this has become an ACC board, you've got no place here unless there's a Clemson fan hiding somewhere in here.

I personally doubt that Bevo is really stopping any of our former conference members from playing Mizzou.

MU vs kU games were always heated, especially in BB. The hawks have not been so great in FB and their fans did not turn out as well for annual game, even in KC.

There is so much animosity between the fan bases it is not healthy.

Their message board even has links to threads on Mizzou message boards, if kU is mentioned. (This thread included) Tell me that that's not obsessive!

Yea, I look at their board once or twice a month, so I am also a sicko! Would never post though.

Well, you live amongst the enemy.

Bogie, would you mind checking into the Mizzou OT when you get a second?

Definitely didn't jump into him at all.

Appreciate your interest in MU sports though.

See recent championships for more information.

UK's records against SEC teams:

Ranked based on winning percentage, Texas A&M and Tennessee are most competitive against UK and Mizzou is least competitive.

66.67% Texas A&M, 4-2
69.12% Tennessee, 150-67
69.44% Arkansas, 25-11
71.76% Florida, 94-37
73.57% Alabama, 103-37
75.14% Vanderbilt, 139-46
77.27% Louisiana State, 85-25
81.03% South Carolina, 47-11
81.82% Georgia, 117-26
82.35% Mississippi State, 84-18
83.96% Auburn, 89-17
88.70% Mississippi, 102-13
100.0% Missouri, 6-0

Since the best rivals have series approaching 50%, the Cats have no real rivals in the SEC. As noted earlier in the thread other SEC schools have time when they are competitive (LSU with Dale, UAF with Nolan, and UF with Billy) but none seem able to sustain it. Interesting that the 2 new additions to the SEC are at the top and bottom of the list.

More interesting is that Texas A&M has beaten UK 2 times and both wins were on UK's court.

shite three paragraphs is child's play for me. With a topic like ku-Mizzou hoops history? I could go full Tolstoy on that on here easy. By ATX blogging standards that was some serious brevity.

Lol. I was giving you crap.

Yea I think it's kind of a rolling position and Deaton just happened to have drawn the straw that year, Deaton was leading the charge to save the b12, and particularly save it for the north div. What didn't make sense to many of us is that he would throw away a golden opportunity to move out of that conf. to save what was rapidly becoming an apparent lost cause. Fortunately he saw the light, in no small thanks to the Oki's who came out with their "wallflower" statement soon after they pledged to the 12. Deaton is an old ag school grad from UK and wasn't going to be fooled more than a couple of times.

considering you guys seemingly want to play them,

Yea that's not really the case either, you might hear that from Pinkel or Alden but remember they are not original True Sons and have only "read about" the hated history they don't really feel it like we do. Those of us who are True Sons will have no part of doing anything that will help beakers, like giving them the time of day or allowing them to be in our presence on the field of play.

WHEN Texas finally blows up the B12, it will be fun watching the beakers man the lifeboats, looking for a conference that wants their TV markets and football team.
