You don't think number of students and eyeballs on the school doesn't impact athletic revenue streams?
And to answer your question: No. We already built new facilities.

This is one of the largest donations we've received since moving to the SEC. I think there are donors who are stepping up to help because they know Mizzou needs it after last year.

How much of that money is mandated for safe spaces?

What about the baseball stadium? It makes ours look like AT&T Park.

How do alum generally feel about what happened? Sincerely curious.
I know a lot of big donors at other schools have threatened to withdrawal donations if their school cowtows to SJW demands. (Oxford for example)

Part of the money is set aside to put up a sign outside Kyle Field that says "Farout Field South"

Been to double digit Vandy and Georgia sporting events in Nashville and Athens.
I haven't been to Mizzou, but I saw enough of it on CNN and MSNBC last year.

There's really no point in doing anything currently. There's simply no demand or enough market for college baseball at this point in time. It's all pro baseball in Missouri.

Please then, tell us how UGA's facilities are worse than all but 1 other team in the league.
I'm anxious to hear your rationale.

I seen a lot of Ole Miss types in documentaries. Couldn't really get a good look at many of them because of the hoods they were wearing.

I'd say damn near everybody was/is pretty pissed. Talked to several people that pulled donations, resigned from alumni involvement positions, etc. I haven't ever heard of or met someone that wasn't angered by what happened. But that doesn't mean they plan to completely abandon the school or anything. I think most people are like myself in that we were deeply infuriated and alienated from the school when it happened, but we're slowly letting the school earn back our loyalty and trust but proceeding with caution.
The impending chancellor and president hiring will be very important to that.

off topic but this made me curious...at MU are your donations cumulative or can you stop and start whenever you please?
I see stories like this about people pulling donations and it makes me wonder because at UGA that would not be feasible for a fan to do. If you go one year wtihout contributing the minimum donation (that allows you the right to even request tickets) you go back to 0 and start all over, regardless of how long or how much you've donated.

Maybe someone else can chime in, but I'm a recent grad so I don't know anything about donating to the school or athletics.

Vandy abandoned college sports some years ago and the presidente decided academics was a lot more important. I cant honestly argue the values. Vandy is an academic institution first and foremost...while we are getting drunk and getting into coeds panties they are studying cutting edge mathematics....on second thought they are nuts

Careful, that's a micro aggression.
But in seriousness, Sterk is the GOAT. He's gonna take us to new heights, I'm confident.

Here is something that never gets mentioned. The chancellor knew about the protests and set on his nuts bc he was getting fired. He had fricked up royally and he let this shite run wild. Hanging the president out to dry but when it came to the president he was caught off guard and pissed down his leg. While the football players are getting a bad rep they were also led down this path by a guy they trusted. They got played. I'm not making excuses but their is some reality to it. Most alum only saw what was on TV which likes always was trumped up way more than the truth. Reality was that it was campus was fairly normal. It was a storm that required a protest leader who studied this shite heavily, students looking to be heard, a pissed off chancellor, unaware president and football players who didn't see through the bull shite and made an irrational choice.

Me too. We could use some good news. It's about time we get some sort of leadership going on around here. Jim Strek is looking to make real progress with big time projects. The only thing MR did when he was here was give us T-shite cannons. Jim Strek ain't gonna settle for that bullshite.
