Mizzou planning some major facility improvements very soon.

On the heels of today's $10 million dollar donation from the Kansas City Sports Trust, Mizzou's new AD Jim Sterk outlined some facilities plans. Sterk is in just his 7th day on the job, but is hitting the ground running.
Our previous AD, Mack Rhoades, did very little to move Mizzou forward, and his biggest move was cancelling a desperately needed south endzone facility and renovation in our football stadium. That plan has now been revived by our new AD Jim Sterk, and former Coach Gary Pinkel will be a major part of its development (he was the one who originally envisioned the project).
Here's some highlights of the news:
-Phase 1 of the football facility will be attached to the south endzone of the stadium and include new scoreboards, new premium seating, football specific training facility, football specific weight rooms, football specific offices, and new "recruiting areas". This could be done by Spring 2018.
-Phase 2 of the football facility will be a 100 yard indoor practice facility, an upgrade over the current 80 yard indoor facility.
-Phase 3 will be to renovate the current athletic training facility for the other sports after the football team moves into their own new facility.
-The currently under construction softball stadium will hopefully be completed in time for the 2017 season.
-We will be converting our baseball infield and outfield to FieldTurf by the 2018 season. The cold weather in February and early March makes it difficult to maintain a nice grass field so this should fix those issues.

Who has the worst facilities in the SEC now? I'd have to go with Vanderbilt and then Georgia at this point. Mizzou is probably 3rd to last.

Will that donation make up for all the tuition lost from the SJW fallout?

The AD has a separate budget but you knew that...
Will South Carolina's program remain back in its historical neighborhood with the vandy's of the world?

Just call in an airstrike and start all over again.

All those facilities at Tennessee aren't buying any wins.
Tennessee has worse in state talent than Missouri many years.
Keep living in the past.
Get out of my safe space.
Buttchugging.

No. Division titles are nice. But it doesn't really mean squat unless you win the big game. And I know we haven't won it recently. It is what it is.
