Yet you're on a sports message board.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I do enjoy watching athletics just as much as the rest of you guys. However, I want my university to be a beacon of higher education more than an athletic powerhouse. That's what professional sports are for.

Hey, we're saying the same thing man. It's embarrassing that we let in a 2nd rate athletic program that doesn't offer anything except a yankee accent. Instead of being a bottom-dweller here, y'all could be a middle-of-the-road BIG team.
Well, they would be one of the bottom-dwellers academically in the B1G, so they wouldn't experience any huge shock by being suddenly upgraded to 2nd tier in everything.

I don't think the B1G wanted you as much as you wanted them honestly. Not saying Mizzou isn't wanted, but Nebraska was the big fish the B1G wanted. The are expanding into the east coast and metro areas now further too.
I think the Big 10 made a mistake, and they are coming to realize it. Your president's comments said as much when he stated that he regretted the Big 10 not taking Missouri. Nebraska is a mediocre athletic school which is only sought after for it's history in football. They are the only Big 10 school without AAU status, and don't have a large population in their state. Missouri would have offered a more competitive athletic program, AAU membership, and two large metros within a state of over six million people.

In the Big-10, proper punctuation is required--even by our trolls.

Nice hidden corn troll.
Big 8 and Big 12 history would suggest otherwise.
