This is my theory too. Mizzou has an easy schedule evidenced by the fact that Mizzou is undefeated. Will we find out this weekend that South Carolina is another pushover?

Correct. You can tell how down the league is by how many games a B1G team wins in it.

Lets not forget we are missing our best player on offense and defense too.

I guess we just have SEC depth.

the plan is to win it 7 times between 2015 and 2025. Thanks for asking.

There's a plan? Did Sumlin draw this up? I expect USC to win the East 10 times between 2015 and 2015 because that is the plan and playing TAMU every year will increase the odds.

All the teams Mizzou has played so far are obviously awful. A mixture of our sisters of the poor and crawling wounded (they were too beat up to walk -- had to crawl into the stadium -- might as well have just called in a forfeit). They were lucky to field teams much less beat anybody. I mean hey frikkin MIZZOU beat them so they gotta suck.

OK that should cover any excuses so far.

FYI Mizzou has the 8th ranked SOS in the SEC.

Comparably Alabama's is ranked 13th.

Mizzou beat Georgia and Florida without our starting QB and best defensive player. And we won by 15+. End of discussion.

Opening Statement
quote:

@Florida was an easy win for Mizzou as their starting quarterback is out with a season ending injury.

Comment made later in thread
quote:

You beat a Florida team who was fielding a quarterback which was Driskel's backup indicating that he may very well be the worst starting quarterback in the conference as Driskel's stats are abysmal? Is that what you are trying to tell me?

You have a short Memory Mootsman that's okay, in your opening comment (which I have quoted about) you made the statement that FL lost to Mizzou because of the Starting QB being out, I was just suggesting with his stats he was not the reason Mizzou beat them.
Before you post threads like this do a little more research.

Yes

If Indiana or Minnesota are winning the B1G sucks in football

No, Franklin went out on the first series of the 4th quarter, so 75%. We were only up by 2 when he went down. Mauk came in and led the team on 2 TD drives, and we won by 15. Franklin played 75% of the game and led the team on 68% of the scoring; Mauk played 25% and led 32% of the scoring.

I wasn't saying that is why you beat them. It was merely a contributing factor. Do I have to spell everything out for you?

More like 78%, but yeah, most of it.

I have an issue with this circular argument. It implies that no one has any control or even influence over their own destiny. Is it implausible, or even impossible, for non-traditional football powers to overcome their reputation through coaching and hard work?

Rarely are things so simple, and I think it's unfair to Indiana or Minnesota to say that they are incapable of winning the B1G unless it's a down year for the entire conference.

It doesn't take Nostradamus to realize that Mizzou will never be better than the likes of Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, or Georgia on a consistent enough basis to win the conference.

Hell, you're not even going to be better than TAMU 99% of the time.

Uhhh, yes it does. Kentucky has one of the historically worst football programs in a major conference. Missouri has been merely mediocre. If Kentucky can win an SEC title, Missouri certainly can. Missouri won several conference titles while facing Oklahoma and Nebraska every season. And those programs are, historically, on the same level as Alabama. It's unlikely Missouri will be a perennial power, but to win a conference title once every 15-20 years is certainly within the realm of possibility. It's doubtful to happen this season, but to say it will never happen is foolish.

More like 85%. The score was 28-26 and UGA had the momentum when Franklin left.

I have a theory on this topic beginning to develop. Mizzou has had a weak schedule which can be proven by the fact that every team they have played has lost to lowly Mizzou. SCAR will be relegated to that heap if they lose Saturday. Just another shitty team that got beat by MizzWho.

Actually a theorem, because it is proved by a set of axioms to wit, the weak teams Zou has played

Mizzou had one ot the toughest schedules in the SEC until teams started losing to us. Georgia included.
