It didn't take me long. In the past few days I've read the board.
Eta. You're not helping my analysis.

Practices have been on lockdown.
Zero info
No one really has any idea how this team will look.
If they say they do, they are full of shite.

I must admit it is starting to get a little frustrating. I'm gonna hold out hope that there are more than 2 decent ones.
Almost all of the Mizzou posters are good posters. The problem is, there's not much incentive for any of us to actually talk about football because inevitably the only discussion directed at us is a bunch of blubbering nonsense like "Yankees!" "kick Mizzou out!" "who is Mizzou" etc etc. It only makes sense that our posters have grown callous over our time here.
When Mizzou first joined, many Mizzou posters flooded over to talk about the SEC and introduce our school to everyone, and it was basically met with a big "frick you". So yeah, I guess we've just learned to act like assholes in return.

Serious questions for other teams in the EAST:
Georgia: Will the team be much better than last years? I know a frosh QB is in the waiting, but will the supporting cast be good enough to make him effective. I think if he plays early in the year, it means your team could be struggling early on.
Tennessee: Prove you can win the 3 of the 4 big games in that stretch. I don't think Dobbs is Vince Young (Terrible comparison by that Knoxville radio station) but you do have the least amount of ? marks. I see this team going 2-2, and pressure might
come in to avoid that 3rd conference loss. Can they close out a game?
Florida: Luke Del Rio? Alot of hype for being a nobody bouncing around 3 schools. Will they have enough play makers on O or D to keep it going. I give you credit though for winning the East.
Kentucky/Vanderbilt: Can you breakthrough to win 6 games? Your games against MIZZOU might be the swing games (we might be in the same boat). How much pressure hits the coaches once their seats are on fire. I personally don't see better than 6-6.
South Carolina: Not really a question, but your team was a real dumpster fire on the field last year. Spurrier knew it was time. I'm not sure if Muschamp is the answer. Do you expect a 6-6 year?

bullshite. We provided beer, food, women and blow at the welcome wagon. I don't recall anyone treating you guys with ill repute at all.

Not all of you. You're able to have a decent football discussion.
Didn't know the history was wondering why all the comments about rednecks, etc...

I think so if for no other reason we got rid of Shittenheimer as OC.

Don't get it wrong, Mizzou and the fans are ecstatic to be in the SEC. But as far as Internet message boards go, Mizzou fans have basically taken an "us against the world" mentality and started fighting back fire with fire.
Deep down though, we're all happy to be here

If you cant grasp why Mizzou fans act the way they do on this board then there isnt much help for you.
A fanbase is only going to eat so much shite. That threshold was met long ago

Cool. Your team did well coming in under Pinkel. Your football team was doing their talking on the football field.

Well KCMO, that's part of being in the SEC. I loved how Mizzou came and immediately started winning the east.So maybe the team was motivated by it. The fact is all fan bases have annoying people who love to talk trash. What are you going to do? I just filter through the bs, try not to let anybody get under my skin. At the end of the day unless they are a coach or a player, then nobody's opinion really counts. Smack talk is just humor, not meant to be taken seriously.

The type of shite we are made to endure around here goes way beyond "good natured conference foe" ribbing.
Posted on 8/26/16 at 4:32 pm to viceman
Viceman, I feel ya. It doesn't get under my skin anymore, but I'll gladly return the trash talk when Mizzou comes under fire

Whether they win or lose every Mizzou game this year will be decided by a score of 3-0.

I think the real difference makers this year will be assistant coaching, who will be more adaptive in game, and have a hell of a track record to put together game plans. Josh Heupel is a proven OC at a big time school, and can coach up QB's. Andy Hill goes back to working with the WR's. Our defensive coaches are top notch, from DLine to Secondary.

I think CGP was the anti-CMR. He was able to do more with less v. Richt.
Coaching is huge.
