How do you spend $98 million and decrease seating?

I kinda like that the cameras are so far away at Kyle. Allows you to see more than just the QB.

This has been talked about in Baton Rouge for the last year. Stadiums need to be more comfortable. My family has had season tickets since TS opened. Our seats are lower bowl right inside the twenty. Feels like your sitting on top of people. We need beer gardens and comfortable seats!

Do you live in another country, or Missouri?

The people of Missouri basically only care about the St. Louis Cardinals.
I will agree that the eastern 75% of the state is predominantly obsessed with the Cardinals, and it no doubt has an impact on our football attendance.

By replacing bleachers with a football facility and suites. Revenues will actually increase because they will be able to charge more for the premium seating.
This is somewhat temporary though. After this is paid off the plan is to renovate the west grandstand which will add back seating lost, then eventually add permanent seating in the North EZ which would also add capacity.
If all goes to plan, then Id expect capacity to settle in around 75k but we are talking 10-15 years down the road.

Agreed. We are very fortunate and honored to be where we are.

Jesus already touched on it below, however I'll add that I'm flabbergasted at what they're getting for $98 million.
Colorado State built a BEAUTIFUL new stadium for $250 million.
We built a minor-league grandstand for damn near half that.

Its nice and all, but its a 40K seat stadium that won't have the amenities in the entire stadium that we are putting in the South EZ facility.
They also didnt have to demo the old stadium. It was built on an already graded parking lot I believe.
Not really comparable.

Yeah, not sure he came from, but Missouri posters could learn from him. Very sensible and level headed.

Right? If only all Mizzou posters acknowledged that we are not worthy to be in the mighty SEC!

I didn't mean that. I meant someone sensible and not posting as an emotional fan.

The SEC is a better spot than the Big 12 to be sure. I just wish the fans weren't so shitty.

And I'll say it again, smart move reducing seating and adding more amenities. It's the right move and will make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
And I've said this in many threads. Expansion is about TV markets and not geography. Missouri brings millions of TV's into the SEC footprint. So did TAM.

Been here since before we joined the SEC (2011)
Just never post anymore now that I've graduated. Takes all my time and energy trying to be a grownup
