Exactly. And who the hell is anyone in this thread saying because we don't miss playing ku we are lying? I live in KC with those schumcks and I was damn happy to leave that conference and especially ku.

The kU Mizzou football game was quickly becoming a joke. 40k+ Mizzou fans and 15k kU fans (being generous) in Arrowhead. It was quickly devolving into the Illinois football series.

Im quite happy in the SEC. I think there is growing potential with the multiple marque divisional opponents every year. Once Nebraska, old Big 8 program, left it was never going to be the same in the Big 12 no matter what happened.

I think its interesting that I have quite a few friends and acquaintances from various old Big 8 Universities and they all miss Mizzou and Nebraska. I know you would never get any of that kind of talk on the internet but in the real world, Mizzou and Nebraska leaving was a sad moment for many of them.

I miss the Big 8/12 for basketball, but I care much more about football.

Big 8? Maybe, but the Big 12 is a clusterfrick and I couldn't be happier to be gone.

This. The stank of Texas started infecting everything from Day One.

Otherwise, very very glad to be in the SEC.

Mizzou has a chance to achieve something great here. That would have never happened in the XII.

Big 12 ... not even the least bit. That was always a temporary, piecemealed situation.

SWC ... very much so. My roots, my home.

After playing LSU this year on Thanksgiving, I've realized it was a mistake to make them the end of the year opponent. There is a very sound reason in playing LSU on Thanksgiving, but it's not the same. I would like the LSU game to be the opening game every year, and I would like to play tu on rivalry weekend.

Don't you think that will be the ultimate outcome? Texas may have to endure a few more years of desperation football before they accept their new status, but surely they'll eventually see the value of the rivalry.

Seems to be a consensus...

Mizzou/aTm still have some affinity for the Big 8/SWC

Nobody likes the Big 12, not even the schools currently in it.

Agree with missing the BBall from the Big 8/12.

If everyone were being honest, they would answer based on their favorite sport. SEC basketball is atrocious and I see little end in sight. Missouri is partially to blame for the leagues poor RPI and overall reputation and we need to fix it quickly.

Mizzou should be challenging Kentucky and Florida for the championship every year. We have the talent base in Stl & KC. Our basketball facilities are second only to Kentucky, and more importantly, we have proven attractive to successful coaches.

Unfortunately, we let a great one get away to Tulsa and we're in another 2-4 year rebuild. If that hadn't happened, there's no reason the SEC's big 3 basketball schools shouldn't be top 15 annually.

do not miss the conference, but miss the KU rivalry

It was the 2nd oldest rivalry in Div 1 football. Missouri also started Homecoming, against KU.

KU fans are losers, KU fans with Royal jerseys are super losers

Iowa State, they have classy fans, and for the most part, didn't shite talk on Mizzou and ATM when we left.

not true, when it was clear Missouri was going to bolt, ISU fans acted like little snitch bitches, and ran crying to WVU and TCU boards to find new friends. They were one of the first claiming conference was better with WVU/TCU than MU and aTm.

They went from being good peeps, to whiny counts.

All internet fanbases have these types. Lots of sour grapes from the internet types after the mover. Having been to Ames for some Mizzou football games over the years, I would put them up there as far as class. They always like and respected Missouri and its fans. Might have been a combined dislike of kansas types over a dozen decades but it was real respect.
