Missouri left the Big12 because it was too unstable. Even in the year following Nebraska and Colorado leaving there were still rumors of Texas and 3 other members trying to broker a deal to join the PAC.
Luckily Texas A&M took an opposite direction and Missouri was able to move with them.
Missouri will not be leaving the SEC. We are still giddy about being a part of it. The SEC is fun in a way the Big 12 never was or will be.

Big 10 had their chance years ago and blew it.So now they can fret over Rutgers dragging down their conference.

I doubt this is very real or will ever be, but I have to say I really hate conference expansion. More because I grew up in big 10 country and find it repellant to see Rutgers and Nebraska in the conference. The Big 12 obviously took a big hit in national credibility but each of the actual seasons since these major realignments have been good.
I wish conferences would be more geographic and I hate that there is just is no way back to it. 14 team conferences is kind an ugly in between. if you get up to 16 - 18 teams the divisions could function like mini conferences I guess.

I also don't get why people are so hung up on Missouri being southern enough. It is not like their fans, players, and coaches are moving into your house or something

Maybe if you get KU permanent OOC I'll believe it but I don't think the Mizzou fan base will ever be completely content with zero ties to the Midwest save some random games against Indiana.

Mizzou isn't going anywhere.
This looks like some horseshite Twitter rumor to attract followers.
But if it were somehow true, it is interesting just for the fact that it shows how aggressively the Big Ten is pursuing a 16 or 20 team conference.

Not seeing a problem here.
If you are referring to winning a NC, only one team can do that in a given year.
Now if only Missouri could get the winning part down, they'd be all set.
