Not yet, it hasn't.
You're fricking stupid

The Big 10 definitely fricked up not giving us the full membership we demanded.
Now their stuck with a nothing market and completely faded football program in Nebraska. Then they add Rutgers in a panic move to make up for the Nebraska misstep. They really handled realignment poorly.
Mizzou came out smelling like a rose. It couldn't have went any better for us

Missouri owns the SECE. Why would they Leave?
Posted on 4/19/15 at 9:33 am to tedmarkuson
Missouri? Ehh…SEC can keep them. I want Virginia.

Virginia isn't leaving. Nor is North Carolina. Nor are we for that matter.
Those two would be the only worthwhile candidates for the SEC, IMO

I know it is too late for Mizzou to go to the Big 10, but I wish they would.
If they did, they would be happier and so would we.
They just aren't Southern.

And Nebraska got kicked out of the AAU as soon as they joined.

We'll probably end up settling for NCSU and VT.

Mizzou is a border state that is a mix of South and Midwest. That might sound like criticism but honestly I live in Northwest Arkansas which is pretty much the exact same sort of place. In an ideal world sure Virginia would be a great pickup for the conference along with UNC. I wouldn't trade Mizzou for either to be honest though.

And, of course, immediately upon entry, the Big X realized that they had taken a giant Nubby up the arse.
I really don't understand Big X Commissioner Delaney's reasoning. Nebraska has a small population compared to most states, Maryland is stone broke (so much so that they dropped some athletic programs) and Rutgers, well, they're The State University of New Jersey.
I'm so glad we got Mizzou and A&M. Looking back, it was an amazing coup for SEC Commissioner Slive. Two wealthy and healthy schools that have added immensely to the prestige of the conference, both athletically and academically.
Anybody that would want either of these universities to leave the SEC is just plain stupid.

They really thought people in DC and NYC care about Maryland and Rutgers.

I agree, Mizzou is a great addition to the SEC. But if the Big 10 came knocking they'd be stupid not to listen.
The Big 10 has more of their historic athletic rivals in Nebraska, and Illinois. And the CIC is an incredible academic organization. Big 10 membership would be a great thing for Mizzou academically, and I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually made that jump.
From an SEC standpoint I hope they stay because they are a great addition to SECU, which is the SEC's version of the CIC, and will be an instrumental institution in helping the SECU Initiative eventually attain the same level of academic prestige as the CIC currently enjoys.

There is no way Mizzou will leave the SEC. The B10 is in the rust belt. Think about the travel, Ann Arbor in December or Gainesville. It's that simple really. Toss in the cash and the fact that the SEC is the best conference in America and you know Mizzou has found it's new home.
And we are damned happy to be here. Go Mizzou! Go SEC!!

The Big Ten may have helped with your grammar issues, though.

They are American. Being southern doesn't affect what LSU does. People are dumb as frick. And I promise you the "athletes", coaches, etc don't care if a state is southern or not. Fans crack me up.
