Because Kentucky and Arkansas have been at the peak of their power, as well. Two of the best years in Mizzou history are comparable to the down years of Kentucky and Arkansas. Honestly, that's about right.

Even Jacksonville has been to the F4. Guess they have tradition too.

How can you have tradition without a single F4?

Championships doesn't define "tradition". Tradition is fan support, love of the school or team, etc. When Mizzou basketball is good, they are awesome to watch. I can remember the year they were the #2 seed and their first year in the SEC people was talking about how loud Mizzou arena was, good fan support, etc. Yes they suck bad now, new system, new coach, no stable coaching in the past 10yrs or so. You don't get a new arena on campus without tradition. Hell their old arena is still better than some SEC venues, the Volleyball team actually plays there.

Hell the Chiefs haven't been to a Super Bowl in decades, haven't won a playoff game in over a decade. They have tradition. One of the best places to watch a football game at, best tailgating, loudest stadium in football. And this all from a team that can't win a damn playoff game.

Surprised a bit by that list. Best I can tell, there is one SEC team that has NOT finished a season ranked this century. Any guess who that is?

Top half of the SEC(#3 in SEC), not bad. Like I said tradition means a lot of things. Now that explains the nice arena without going to a Final 4.

Isn't that what all Division 1 teams shoot for, NCAA tournament, go to the big dance, one of the most popular events in sports.

Some of us strive for a lot more than just making the tournament.

It's not a standard, but it is a legitimate measure of accomplishment.

You're just trolling though, so have a good night.

No, just like Alabama expects to be in the hunt for a football championship every year, so do some basketball programs. At least 1 of those is in the SEC. While many schools that play basketball aspire just to get an invite, some consider it failure not to win it all.

Elite schools are competing every year
Above average schools are at least getting to a Final Four about once a decade on average
Good basketball schools push for a Final Four at least once every 25 years or so
Average schools should at least get to the sweet 16 now and again
Below average basketball schools are just happy to get invited.

As stated on here many times before who gives a rats arse if you win some division or conference championship. Maybe that flies in the Big 12 or the SWC and Big 8 they came from but this here is the SEC. Winning the national hardware is all that matters. Vanderbilt may have a bowling team but at least they have a NCAA trophy to show for it.

Win shite at the top level and you get respect in the SEC

kilo,

Seriously dude, you reply in less than a min from my post and you don't see the crazy stalker mentality you have?

You need help or need to step away. I went out for dinner and hung out with friends after my post on what page 4? Get a life because as nervous as you are you certainly are not getting laid.

So Grits doesnt respect Arkansas' or Miss State's baseball programs and until this year Vanderbilt was a baseball program to not be respected but he respects Mizzou's according to this logic.

Not surprising you would "boom" that failed logic.

Its just a way of moving goal posts in order to get your digs in on the school you despise.

Mizzou isnt Florida or Kentucky in basketball. Not sure who, outside tigernick, said they were.
