Why is this Arky fan claiming every town within a 50-mile radius as Fayetteville? Very strange. No one in Missouri includes Jefferson City or the surrounding towns as part of Columbia. Arky fans continue to astound and amuse me.

It's bizarre. Get used to it, all the inbreeding has lead to severe complexes that make one claim cities 30 miles away just to win an argument on the internet. Very strange, indeed.

So in summary Fayetteville is smaller than Como with a lower population. Both cities have other cities around the cities in question. Got it

Zoom in on both with Google Earth and then you might get it.

All the secondary cities you mentioned are the same distance as Jeff City from Como.. so if you want to add nearby cities to an otherwise very simple question I'm all for it.

Basically, you're saying northwest arkansas is bigger than Como.. that's great an all, but this stemmed from someone claiming fayetteville was bigger than Como, and that is just simply not true.

The fact of the matter is that if you're coming in to a town for a college football game, you're not hanging out in a peripheral town you're hanging out near the stadium/campus/nearby drinking holes. Hopefully you're not taking a quick drive through the area not noticing when one town ends and another begins.

Columbia metro is smaller than Fayetteville metro but Columbia downtown is larger and has more variety based on everything I've heard. Mizzou tailgating is widely spread out in lots around the stadium and not in a central location and I don't know how Arkansas is setup for tailgating.

Yes, but nestled right smack inside a much larger MSA.

You want a bigger stadium = Arkansas.
You want a bigger MSA (restaurants) = Arkansas.
You want a picturesque SEC stadium backdrop = Arkansas.
You want one of the best bar scenes outside of Athens = Arkansas. (You can walk directly from the stadium to the bars)

Isn't this about a football experience? Even the Aggies admitted they need to catch up to the GameDay experience at Arkansas and it even poured down rain. Heck, even his fellow Georgia fan loved Fayetteville. The Aggies loved Fayetteville as do almost all SEC teams when they arrive. Only Fayetteville and Knoxville sit inside of old mountain ranges. It's unique and that is what makes the experience.

Sure.

The only point I'm going to make is that if you are wanting to do certain things pre/post game like eat a specific restaurant, you can easily find yourself in Springdale without knowing.

It use to be easy, the liquor stopped at Springdale, there was signs all over the place with "last chance and Missouri is only 3.2" signs every where.

Here are pictures of both taken at the same zoom level in Google Earth.

Yes. Which is why it puzzled me that you included an irrelevant fact such as surrounding 50 miles population.

Sure is..

Had it not been for the lie earlier in the thread that fayatteville is bigger than Como, none of this would have happened. Next time, just don't lie.. is that too much to ask arkies?

Fayetteville is a great town on game day, that is not in dispute here.

Wrong person. I didn't think it was that hard to scroll back two pages and see which one of us to attack?

Kids these days can't even bitch to the right person.

It's impolite to argue with the mentally challenged.. so I'll have to move on from this, you've got to have something not working properly in your head.

Normally I'd blame the parents, but with it being Mizzou I'm reminded about the effects of Methamphetamine abuse.

Actually, if population means anything, F'ville is 77,000 and CoMo is 120,000

Fayetteville is one of several conjoined towns (hard to tell where one stops and the next starts). Fayetteville is the laid back college/hippy town, Springdale is the blue collar town, and Rogers/Bentonville is the preppy corporate part. More money, dining, shopping etc. than you are going to see in cities with 3x the population (Cabelas is my favorite).

Go to the part you like. Try Bella Vista, it is old retired folks from up north.

When did Missouri only sell 3.2 beer? People from kansas have always come into KCMO to get real beer, ever since my dad with a kid. Missouri has some of the most lax liquor laws in the entire country.

U mad because NWA in more attractive to Missouri recruits than that little village? I guess the census bureau is mentally challenged too.
