How big is mtsus stadium?

They are a suburb of Nashville basically and I think the largest school in the state. Vols are still bigger if you add in their grad school population if memory serves, and still pretty sure they are larger than Memphis.

They are sort like Texas Tech, big but most never hear about them.

If the demand was big enough they could move the game to the Tennessee Titans stadium like Western Kentucky has done in the past. I think Nissan (formerly LP Field) seats about 70,000 and it is where the Music City Bowl is played if that helps.

Think of Nashville central as Vanderbilt, with Western Kentucky just to the north and Middle Tennessee just to the south. If you are in Nashville you see a lot of Blue Radier gear in addition to Vols and Bama gear.

So it's not as bad as the Tennessee fan fear is making it sound

As I stated earlier in this thread, if it was basketball I would say they win as they are one of those teams you schedule pre conference but they can turn right back and bite your backside but you get no bonus beating them.

In P5 football, maybe the upset chance is less but if this is the first time Mizzou plays them they could get caught off guard. Will be interesting to see what happens either way.

I have no idea why we continually do this. Our football scheduling has been fricking stupid for years.

Hopefully we buy out of the road game.

MTSU and Austin Peay are the closest state schools to Nashville proper. If you are going to commute, MTSU is the best option - thats why they have such a large undergraduate enrollment.

But you are almost as likely to see their students wearing orange as MTSU gear. Its sort of like UAB, Georgia State, UALR in those regards.

Key word being state as Belmont and Vanderbilt are actually IN Nashville.

I am an MTSU grad, twice. I love this. I don't care what everyone else thinks.

Why would Mizzou accept this bullshite?

It's called recruiting technique. A lot of teams don't buy their players like y'all do. Some people resort to tactics such as this to better educate the locals to their brand.

What was the 1st and 2nd degree?

Seems I meet lawyers and judges who are MTSU grads.

No matter how they try to spin it or turn it into a "we always beat UT" sort of thing, this is embarrassing for a program like Mizzou and their fans should be angry about this.

Whats embarrassing is the condition of the Tennessee football program the last decade.

Unfortunately, the mighty Bilikens don't have football.

This is awesome for MTSU though, and I am glad for that program. I bet it will be a decent atmosphere at Randal Pink Floyd stadium that day.
