So Ole Miss is claiming this. If he told the NCAA then why does Ole Miss need to tell the NCAA again?

Because it's a hack job write up. They told the NCAA that something in Lewis' statement proved he took benefits from state, the NCAA looked into it and found nothing. He didn't "tell them he took money from state" as the article suggests.

will it make Ole Miss feel better about the shite storm coming down on them if a few pieces of that storm hit MSU too?

the only thing this is close to eliminating is the football program at TSUN and maybe the whole athletic program at ole miss... 3 sports all on probation with coaches fired from each sport. The epic fall has the sweet taste of bourbon with a smell of rich mahogany. It also comes with many leatherbound books

Don't forget this part:

quote:

On August 16, attorneys representing Ole Miss wrote a letter addressed to COI chairman Greg Christopher, AD for Xavier University, which requested access to a separate NCAA investigation into Mississippi State. The letter, which was obtained by SB Nation, alleges that NCAA enforcement confirmed to Ole Miss that they had “quickly opened and subsequently closed” the investigation because Lewis’s statements about receiving money from Mississippi State were deemed to be “ultimately... not sufficiently credible to support an allegation.”

The claim is directly at odds with enforcement seemingly doubling down on their belief that Lewis’ statements about receiving benefits from Ole Miss were credible. As recently as the enforcement staff’s July 21 response to the COI, the NCAA has stood by Lewis as credible. “Lewis consistently provided credible and reliable information during the investigation,” enforcement wrote on July 21.

All up in your head.

You're obviously missing my point. The NCAA is garbage and needs to go. What do they provide to the schools that they couldn't do themselves?

OM fans act like the Lewis stuff is all the NCAA has. you guys have 15 (!) Level ONE violations. Take Lewis out of this mix and you still have double digit level ones.

you...are...screwed. Stop making posts trying to convince the rest of us to be blind to the facts and the obvious. You guys can keep lying to yourselves, but the rest of the SEC is firmly not in your corner.

Exactly. Surely you saps don't believe this Ole Miss hack. All it is is a repeat of the Ole Miss response to the NOA which the NCAA found laughable. Not to mention we all know that every Ole Miss source in this investigation has been honest and open don't we? This is Ole Miss' last chance to round up the herd and sell a few more tickets for next week.

So this is how the state Cam AU thing went down. State offering pennies on the dollar

Ole Miss offered money

Went to State

Only logical conclusion is that State paid more. Congrats on getting away with it tho, what really matters

Ole Miss was being retarded. The dude privately committed to us the day he decommitted from bama. They were literally paying a commit to their rival.
