The 3 interviews with investigators were laughable.

You don't have to be an OM fan to realize this was sham

The NCAA doesn't care bro. Especially when you are buddy buddy w/ them like we are. They take care of their own. Deal w/ it

In fairness to Freeze, by the time Treadwell left Ole Miss Freeze was able to turn his life around.

: Laquon Treadwell baptized on Easter Sunday

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze was in attendance for the baptism, and Tweeted out his support for Treadwell on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Miss PAID leo lewis money before he even signed... they paid him to commit. He didn't want to go there, he got paid... he is a fantastic negotiator... he took the money and ran with it to the team with the better coach.

Anybody else catch this part?

Sheridan also asks Lewis if he was ever “fixed up with a lady” while visiting Ole Miss.

“Never,” Lewis said.

I think this is actually the only piece of new news in the whole article. The NCAA is asking about escorts. UH-OH Ole Miss, NOA 3? If so, you are so getting the death penalty.

Thanks Godfrey!

Really makes me question Mullen as a coach that he would pay Lewis but not Cam, this man is not investing the program's resources wisely

This screams the writer is an idiot!

If the kid needed the money he would be wearing purple and gold at $650,000.

That's three Albert Means for a linebacker!

I guess you missed the part of the article where they admitted that the NCAA opened up an investigation on this claim and subsequently closed it finding no credible evidence. MSU is not getting in trouble.

Exactly. If LL can't substantiate a claim against state, then how are you going to use LL against OM as a credible witness, especially considering how flimsy and shady his interviews are.

Nah. Just OM.

That entire story reads like the postings of pretty much every OM fan on tRant.

The entire 'story' is based on a footnote in OM's response to the amended NOI - a footnote the NCAA investigators didn't deem worthy of addressing in their rebuttal.

They made it clear in their rebuttal that they didn't take Lewis at his word, and instead sought out and found significant corroborating evidence - something that, if you take the story at face value, couldn't be done with any claim made about Mississippi State.

Even furter, assuming every bit if it is true it still doesn't help the OM case at all. It is essentially being mad because the cop pulled you over when you weren't the only guy speeding. You're still guilty of speeding. They're saying you can't punish us if you don't punish them, which is something that anyone that's ever watched the NCAA or for that matter the criminal justice system, knows simply isn't the case and is very likely to backfire in spectacular fashion if they go that route in front of the COI.

Because he has details of who he met, what car they drove, and text messages.

All they have on State (and will ever have) is "yeah, they paid me." Don't blame it on us that the NCAA didn't ask follow up questions.
