I'm not saying he'll turn out as bad as Crooms, he just seems very similiar, especially with his style. Not to mention the same god damned voice.

Argument fail. How is his style similar to Crooms anyway? Other than the fact that their both black, they don't have a lot in common. Singletary is a hard-arse disciplinarian, Crooms was neither hard-arse or a big disciplinarian.

by talking tough to the media or showing his dick to his player? sending one player to the locker room doesn't make you a hardass either.

no, but he pretended to be. singletary's speech about vernon davis is ridicously crooms-esque.

what i'm saying is both of these guys like to pass blame on the players, like to single them out, while taking no responsibility of their own. they also think their job is a reason for them to preach.

yeah, that badass 8-8 record or your pearl of wisdom from ESPN that Singletary is a hardass is great.

Yeah and your point about how bad his division was was shattered by my point about how good his division record was last year. Look, answer my question or move on.

Singletary-defense
Croom-offense

Comparing Croom to Brian Billick would be more accurate.

I respect Singletary and think he might be able to do something if given one more year. I never had the slightest inclination that Crooms was going to do something well.

As far as how they sound- there is some preaching by both- but it's pretty obvious Singletary is a smart individual- Crooms, not so much

Crooms just wasnt ready for the job he was given. I think Singletary is fine- he just needs a QB and another WR to go with Crabtree

i dunno. from the story of him showing his arse in the locker room to their horrible record in the worst division in football i seem him as way in over his head. he should stick to coaching LBs. some great players just cannot connect to the average talents in the league, which is mostly what you deal with. the best coaches seem to be the mid level/low guys who had to bust their arse.

And honestly I think the 49ers should've been a shoe in to win the NFC West this year.

they really blew it by not aquiring a legit QB. they still haven't replaced Jeff Garcia from the early 2000s. their defense is horribly untalented outside of clements and willis as well.
