Mike Singletary-is he any different than Crooms?

Both have had anemic offenses with stout/good defense, both like to think they're preachers of some sort, both talk shite about players as if they carry no responsibility, both get slobbered on by the media for being 'character' guys, I really can't see the difference. Worst of all, they literally have the same voice.

Mike Singletary was a badass football player, Croom wasn't anything great. Mike gives badass speeches, Croom doesn't. Mike Singletary is a badass in general, Sylvester Croom is not. /thread

I think Dennis Green is a better comparison to Croom, except Dennis Green almost made me shite my pants with "They are who we thought they were".

Whenever I hear Singletary it brings me back to the good ole days when Crooms was botching quotes on Winston Churchill and losing to Maine.

Denny Green was a pretty damn good coach though. He was smart enough to hire Brian Billick and Tony Dungy as his coordinators, had a lot of success at Minnesota and pretty much built the Cardinals team Whisenhunt took to the Super Bowl.
