8 of Michigan titles came during or before the Great Depression. 10 of them pre-1950. 0.5 titles in last 68 years...thus their nickname 'The Leather Helmets'

People love to give us shite over some our claimed titles (and it's deserved especially in the case of 1941) but I believe Michigan retroactively claimed like 7 of theirs. They only have 2 major poll titles (AP/Coaches) while Ohio State has 6 or 7.

Of course A&M thinks they're a big name. They're on the same level with Arkansas.

where does that place LSU? You've been BLOWN OUT two years running and finished behind us in the SEC west 2015 standings. You had a great run but Les can only live off the foundation that Saban left for so long and it seems to be crumbling as we speak

yeah..Toledo cut Michigan's arse last time they played as well...Michigan is now 0-2 vs. Toledo...first they lost the war for Toledo in 1836 (ironically, that year was the last time Michigan football was relevant) and then in football. Although Michigan lost to Ohio in 1836..they did gain the Upper Peninsula...which is a thorn in Wisconsin's side..and is the only part of Michigan that is worth visiting.

as far as Arky...they are probably better off scheduling an Ohio team they can beat..like Akron or Miami.

Pretty well respected across the college football landscape in my experience. Top 20 ranked football program all-time.

I kind of hate that this is always what it comes down to. It shouldn't be a conference thing, it should be a team thing. Is there really 1 poster here who thinks that in 2018 Michigan will be "afraid" of Arkansas? Who the heck even knows if Bert and Khaki will be at those schools by then.

It sucks for Arkansas. There is no getting around that. However, Michigan is upgrading this game, not downgrading. If Michigan had changed from Arkansas to Georgia no one would be saying it's cause they are scared (I am saying Georgia because that's about where I see ND in the pecking order in 2016 top 10ish 15ish)

UGA is know better than Arkansas now day's, just in a weaker division. I wished we played every year. What Bret is building now will hang with Kirby U.

Funny, I heard that they won the war and made Ohio take Toledo.

Damn man you were loaded last year! You are loaded most years, but we continue to play LSU off their feet. Bret has established the footing going forward and Arkansas will play in all SEC games. SEC is so balanced I believe the West can beat its self up. To hell with what happened years ago, its a new era in the West and will be difficult sliding through unscathed. Bama is the team to beat because they have balance in their offense. If LSU, finds a QB that can keep teams from loading the box, lookout.

Michigan and Notre Dame NEED to play annually. It's a great rivalry even if they haven't been playing each other nearly that long in comparison to other rivalries.
