Nobody dogs Vanderbilt in the SEC for the exact same reason nobody in Texas has ever dogged Rice.
If you can't understand the difference between those type of schools and the dynamics between two behomoth in state large publics... Perhaps you are the one who needs the slowed down phonetics and nice pictures.

Vanderbilt isn't beneath TAMU. They've won two big 3 titles this decade. TAMU hasn't played for one in like 80 years.

Vanderbilt is an excellent school. They don't have weird cultish traditions (outside of the Whistler). In baseball, they have 2 national championships and at least 2 runner-up spots (that I can think of) in just the past 10-15 years. Pretty sure their tennis team is really good and have a couple of titles but I'm too lazy to google it. The Vandy fans that I've come across in baseball have been good folks.
Are you truly trying to say that A&M fans don't talk down about Cougar High? Texas Tech, excuse me Tceh is it. TCU? Baylor? Once you understand that you guys do in fact talk down to your decades long conference mates/rivals and not your shiny still-new SEC brethren - you'll understand the deep secret that lies within your own OP. The reason is that to Texas you are what Cougar is to you. I can say it very slowly and throw in some pretty pictures to help you get the point.

Like UF and Texas, Vandy is a globally elite academic institution. Vandy is respected no matter what they do in sports, and they are 'beneath' no one in the SEC.

After that humbling beat down last week, Texas fans had been silenced and pretty absent from the board for the better part of a week.

Vandy has a 9.7 billion endowment. That’s top 15 in the country for private schools. They are not poor, they are not interested in sports.
Huge difference. TAMU is actually invested in competing with Texas and are down 25 Billion. Thus the little brother syndrome.
