Now if he was Evan Berry-ish, sure I would say it was a plus........but come one, he got many of those KO yards before the kicking team got down the field. That shouldn't count for that much.

Then knock off his return yards. He still has more yards from scrimmage than anyone else.

McCaffrey would not have started at LSU, Georgia, Alabama,or Tennessee. Good chance he would not have started at Auburn or Arkansas either. Anyone that says different is a liar or stupid. He is a good player for his team, but the PAC 12 is awful. The PAC 12 champ lost to Northwestern, a team that Tennessee will boat race in a few weeks.

The defense in the PAC 12 is awful. the Aggies scored 38 on a PAC 12 team and we know they were garbage offensively.

Henry wouldn't have started at Stanford.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they believe a white RB could never succeed in the SEC.

Ask yourself a serious question: Would McCaffrey be able to put up those numbers in the SEC?

Yes. Absolutely. 100% he could. No questions asked. He'd probably break the all-time yards record by a couple hundred more if he went up against Bama's kickoff and punt teams

Neither is the L5U fan base. Come on, if booger was the front runner, you don't think your fan base would be arguing for him and against Mc?

And would you be this devoted to defending Mc?

Maybe. We know he would be good for at least one NC with Saban's players.

Actually of Saban left Miles might be a good replacement because then he wouldn't have to play Saban.

Also, older Bama fans like myself can still remember watching Gene Stallings win a NC with a 3 yards and cloud of dust offense and great defense, so we know the fun is in the winning, not some high powered offense.

Fournette was as versatile last year as McCaffrey. He hasn't been this year. McCaffrey deserves it over Fournette.

McCaffrey would put up Derek Abney numbers in the SEC. But he'd have to play at UK like Abney to do it.

This guy's going all in. And I think he has a point. You don't just break Barry Sanders all-time APY record and don't get the Heisman. Yet Gumps just scoff at it like it's no big deal. They don't appreciate kickoff return yards because of how atrocious their kickoff teams were this year.

You'd think Saban would want to lobby to ban Special teams all together with how bad they played.
