Damian Williams, but even he got the hell outa dodge

Thanks. Forgot about him but because Williams was headed to Florida before Malzahn was hired. He wasn't going to play for Nutt without Gus so I really don't credit Nutt for signing him.

The Mitch Mustain bashers seem to forget that Williams was so disenchanted with Nutt and teh circus on the Hill that he transferred to USC before the Cap. 1 Bowl.

What 4 Star receiver did Nutt recruit? I don't ever remember one.

Damian Williams in 2006.
Cedric Logan in 2004.
Chris Baker in 2003.

Wasn't Sparky Hamilton highly regarded coming out of high school, too?

He may not have Alabama after him but isn't he supposed to have really good speed? If I were him I'd go to Arkansas. There's WR talent there but unless I'm mistaken Joe Adams, Childs, J. Wright will all be juniors next year and he could really develop in Petrino's offense. Not to mention Fayetteville>Starkville.

Forgot about Cedric and Chris. Cedric and my son are friends and I use to hear a lot about Nutt from him. Nutt had Cedric "bulk up" to block better. Slowed him down quite a bit.

Again, I don't count Williams (see earlier post) and I don't know about Hamilton. Two in ten years and one was because he was always a big Hog Fan and from Fayetteville. Are there any more that I forgot?

Im hearing from a good source that Humphrey is a BIG Arky lean, and depending on how his visit to Mississippi State goes this weekend, he is close to committing to Arkansas.

Yeah, but the visit to MSU could easily change his mind. Honestly, I would have rather we just take 1 out of Humphrey and Welch, with Humphrey being the preference. But I guess with the recent transfers we have room for a couple more receivers. Sure hope he chooses Arkansas. Is your source Steve Robertson from Scout?

This kid was discussed a week ago.

LINK

Hoover had a good QB who was not afraid to put the ball in tight spots. They ran alot of short ball control routes with the occasional deep ball.

4* yes, but dont give credit to Nutt for ever recruiting a 5* WR

Nutt got a 5* receiver last year, and he played in 12 games in 2009.

12 catches for the season, 6 of those vs. Southeastern Louisiana and Northern Arizona.

We were talking about his time in Arkansas. But Patrick Patterson was a 4*.

MSU fans sure like to pull that lack of touches card regarding PP.

but PP was no higher than 4th on our depth chart behind Shay Hodge, Dex, and 2 other WR's that had great experience in 2008

Yes, he said the Humphrey almost decided not to visit Mississippi State, but has now decided to go on his visit with his family.
