Auburn and Oklahoma both took advantage of something no one else could...a lack of experienced and game-ready boundary corners. That revolving door took longer to cost Alabama a game that most will admit.

Boundry corners were not the cause for 296 yards rushing by Auburn. AU did not take advantage of the poor corner play of bama until the last drive.

And he still won a national title and was close to playing or a fourth in five seasons. It's not like he's getting blown off the field.

TT Towel , on the contrary Auburn could have been the reason for those miscues, in fact I mentioned their D being a strong factor in the outcome of the game. I give credit to Auburn for winning, did not mean for it to sound that way. It was however one of those games where you come away saying that if one of 6 things had been different we would have won. If Auburn had lost they could have said the same thing, and could say the same thing about the FSU game. The LSU loss for Auburn and the Oklahoma loss for Bama don't give anyone that same feeling.

Wow, an article that actually makes sense.

Leave it to the imbeciles on here to think otherwise.

Literally not the point. Saban has a talent advantage by a wide margin every time he steps on the field, but keeps losing to HUNH. Just admit it, he's chicken shite. It doesn't take away from your national titles or all that he's won.

I'm a little behind in the whole HUNH rule change fiasco. Are Bama fans actually buying that this is about player safety and not about Saban trying to maintain his advantage?

More like Bama fans laughing at everybody complaining about the situation.

anyone who doesn't believe Saban is the best HC in NCAA football is an idiot.

Anyone who wouldn't exchange their coach for Saban in a heartbeat is either a liar, delusional, or from a Cult (Auburn)!

And yet you worship an opponents coach so much you would discard all to get him...

I thought it was bama fans praying that the rule becomes law. Most fans are laughing that Saban has STOOPED (No pun intended) so far as to say the rule is for safety reasons.

I'll let you count the number of complaining posters vs. the number of defending ones. Get back to me.

Ok so if not to gain an advantage, then what?

It's not for player safety, because A) there is no safety issue with the HUNH, and B) Saban doesn't give a shite about player safety.

So seriously, why else does he care?

This guy is ridiculous.

Does Saban need another advantage? No
Does Saban want another advantage? OF Course he does. He wants 10 more advantages.

I don't blame him. He want to be able to substitute. That is what he likes to do. Miz up packages, rotate players, show you 22 different defenders throughout a game.

The fact that he won't do anything to win if he thinks it is an excuse. His whole second career in the NCAA is an excuse for leaving the NFL. He seems to be living with that.

Yep. It is a combination of being chickenshit, insecure, and a lack of integrity that fits in well with bama fans. For saban and bama fans, anything is justified if it results in a better chance to win.

Which is exactly why you see the extra dumb bama fans continuing to try to spin this in 50 different directions trying to deflect and deny.

People would have a lot more respect for bama fans if they could call a spade a spade. I remember bama fans were adamant saban did not oversign or cut players a few years ago. They defended it like crazy totally denying it even existed at first then denying it gave bama any sort of advantage. Totally laughable, but here on this site 9/10 gumps took that position and today 1/10 might still take the same position.

Same thing here.

He's been intellectually lazy. It's taken him a couple years to see the future of the game and his new recruiting hasn't matured enough yet to see the field. It's a stall tactic until his fast twitch youngsters are ready.
Still an arrogant POS to use injury as an excuse. Maybe if he would've spent more time on devising a defensive package to counter this instead of going over plans for a freakin waterfall in the locker room, none of this would matter.
