He's been intellectually lazy. It's taken him a couple years to see the future of the game and his new recruiting hasn't matured enough yet to see the field. It's a stall tactic until his fast twitch youngsters are ready.

I agree...one thing that Gus has gotten with Ellis Johnson on us playing a lot of players throughout the game, which not only builds depth but keeps your best players fresh for late in the game.

I can honestly see Auburn playing almost 30 guys on defense on a regular basis, given the depth we have and pace we want to play at...and that's not an exaggeration.

One thing that makes me laugh at the whole "Saban cares about players' safety" perspective is that w every yr round draft time, NFL executives all over the league comment that Saban's players are always all beat up by the time they get to the NFL.And it is implied that this is a result of his style of practices and football. His style wins, certainly. But to say he has this over riding concern about his own players's safety is ridiculous.

I guess he was just busy winning national championships!....3 out of 4 years will really make one dumb, huh?

Bama was up 21-7, auburn went nascar and scored right before the half. We did same thing first drive second half to tie the game. This was the difference in the game if you ask me.

Bama's choke artist kicker had a lot to do with it if you ask me.
