In fact I remember him at Wisconsin in 2012 or 2013. Their offense put up a whopping 7 points in a loss to Oregon State. Only 16 on Utah State, 14 on Ohio State and Wisconsin had a record of something like 7-6. If I were LSU, I would hire Greg Roman. He is who ran Harbaugh's Stanford and 49er offense and put up huge offensive displays.
He's an improvement, but I'd be cautiously optimistic.

Allow me to introduce you to the LSU fan base - where there is no such thing as "cautious optimism":

Aranda is the associate head coach. You really don't think orgeron consulted with one of the best defensive minds in college football about a good OC?

"will seem like a bad OC under Orgeron."
You have O confused with Less Miles. Miles is the one who cuckold his OC's

So, what, two combined NFL starts from this crew after the starting QB for the Patriots was suspended for four games and the backup got injured?
Matt Canada may be an excellent coordinator but I wouldn't trot this crew out to support that argument.

Unless the argument is that he got the most production possible out of limited talent at the QB position.

Dave Aranda wants Canada then I want Canada, plain and simple.
I bet Aranda knows a little bit more about football than you.
What about Coach 0eaux, funny seems like the DCoordinater opinion is more respected than the Head Coach.

yes because getting NFL talent to Northern Illinois, Indiana, and Butler is cake. He was at Wisconsin for 1 year, he played with who he was given. And NC State he coached Jacoby Brissett, a Florida retread, into getting drafted. But, by all means, enjoy spinning his career into whatever you want it to portray

How many NFL starts for Saban QB's?

AJ McCarron has more NFL starts than that entire list.

Saban QBs have started a combined 4 games in his 10 year career at Alabama, all due to injury of the starter.
If you include LSU, Matt Mauck had 1, Rohan Davey 0, Josh Booty 0, and Marcus Randall had a couple...at defensive back.

And Saban is a defensive coach. Not an offensive coordinator.

so what you're saying is that Saban doesn't know how to hire OCs that develop QBs into NFL players either? That was, after all, your premise as to why Canada isn't a good hire.

Thank you for an honest post
Guys do evolve and coordinators can be hindered by HC at times
Good thing is he didn't make his success off any brilliant offensive minded HCs
It's silly to nitpick a coach earlier on at a particular school
