It could very well be a move made to clean up his image.
He has a new "life coach" figure in his life that specializes in this area. But go on. You're teaching me so much I didn't know!

Calling marijuana use 'drug use' is like calling masturbation 'auto molestation.'

Xanax and Valium aren't physically addicting either but I bet you've heard of people being addicted to/going to rehab bc of them.

They are absolutely physically addicting. I've witnessed friends of family going through withdrawals from these muscle relaxing/anxiety drugs.

The people you know sound like dumbasses, not addicts.

All you fans need to wake up! TM7 is an addict. This does not mean he's a bad person. It means he has an addictive personality with fame following him everywhere. I hope and pray he can slay this demon of addiction and be a great role model for kids someday!

Drug rehab for weed?

Maybe he was testing positive for other drugs.

That is what I was thinking. This guy is on meth or something if he is in a rehab.

Sounds like he has a lot of people around him that are willing to help I just hope he is smart enough to listen to them.

We should all pray for the young man to make a full recovery and realize just what life has to offer someone with his talent. I wish I was as good at anything as he is at playing football.

Some of you guys are just idiots.

Addiction does NOT have to be something physically addictive to the body. It can be anything that controls your lifestyle in a negative way. That includes weed and shitty friends who influence you. JFC people. It can be anything.

I am sure this is not only about getting his shite together personally, but someone convinced him it was the right thing to do for his college resume come draft time.

Not really. He was suspended and tested positive multiple times for weed/spice and refused to grow up and have some perspective. That is a behavior problem.

Going to rehab for weed is pretty common, but it's still dumb.

Sure, weed is psychologically addictive, which means if you can't kick it on your own, you're a weak minded pussy. I smoked it daily for over 10 years and quit with no problems, even still hanging out with potheads. Same with several friends.

Going to rehab for weed is a joke. But I get PR side of it, and dumb Americans will eat up the redemption story when he comes out "clean."

You are one of the few that actually gets it.

This goes above and beyond drugs. Matheiu felt he was bulletproof, invincible, and larger than life. Mathieu is a very good kid, who was just way too immature to handle all the quick, sudden, and immense fame that came his way. He did not understand how to control himself, his life, and his "friends".

The family is simply trying to get Mathieu away from his "friends" in NOLA, gain a better perspective on life, and have realized that playing football this year was not going to do him any good long-term.
