The other positive with parking on the East Side on the Blue Line is the train ride back is 100% easier. 10% of the MARTA crowd is taking that line while the other 90% are cramming onto the North trains. You can just walk from the Dome to Five Points and easily grab the first East bound train to Inman/East Lake/Decatur.
^^This is HUGE on the returning ride. I'm not clautrophobic by nature, but those crowds on the North bound trains are a son-of-a-bitch after the game.

Can't wait to take MARTA to the Braves games in 2017

I work at 75/285 and can see the new stadium site from our office. The traffic going north on 75 or either direction on 285, starting about 4PM, is heavy, and by 5:30PM a parking lot. Someone is smoking crack if they think fans are going to make that drive to see a mid-pack MLB team play. This might be the last straw that gets MARTA rail service to Cobb County.

Also, 95% of visitors have been told that if you take MARTA anywhere other than north to Buckhead then you will be raped, pillaged and stabbed, so they are all terrified to take the Blue line.

Don't understand this. I park at the Harrison Holmes station all the time, and have for years. Never once been raped, pillaged, or stabbed.

I'm taking the blue line from HE Holmes or West Lake. Been to many Braves, Tech, and Falcons games and never had an issue. Plus I laugh at the packed lines going North, count traffic and it's just easier this way. If you take HE Holmes just get there early. The WVU game was packed by 10 a.m., tons of Bama fans everywhere so you're good.

Same here, building 200. And 100% agree.

Agreed. In fact, he might consider spending the night in his car in the HE Holmes (Hightower) station parking lot just to insure a parking spot. Or at least get there at 3am and park in the darkest place available like the shadows of some trees. That way he can recline and get some sleep without a light pole light shining in his eyes all night. If this mild weather holds up he can probably roll the windows down and summon some new friends by rocking some country tunes.

All you scary a$$ jokers. Park at the Hamilton Holmes station and catch the rail in to the dome. Did this for last years' championship game. (My wife is an Auburn fan.) Plenty of parking there and for big events there are more police at the Marta stations. Plus, I would assume there would be countless Alabama fans parked and riding from there. And just as an added bonus, pull into the station jamming some Ludacris.

but I wouldn't park at any of the MARTA stations West of the Dome.

^^^ What he says. I could not agree more. You DO NOT want to go westside and leave your car.
