Do you know Pruitt's history? When he was "coaching" at Alabama he was primarily a recruiter... and he recruited all four of the assault and battery foursome. Most of his recruits in two years were in trouble with the law...

Then when Saban would not promote him to actually coach a position, he left for FSU.

He was the DB coach at Alabama. He left because FSU offered him a better job. He was there for one season and won the national championship.

Check the recruits he brought in there.. almost all including Winston were pretty deep into "thuggery,"

Winston was already at FSU when Pruitt got there.

When he went to Georgia, I predicted immediately that Georgia would start to have a much larger prison population within a couple of years and that they would soon adopt "orange" as one of their uniform colors. And it is working out that way.

Georgia had zero arrests this offseason.

Basically, you're totally full of shite.

Richt may be many things as a football coach, but he is no "moronic fraud" when it comes to his faith. One recent example defines him a lot more than any of the crap that happens on a football field. When the Southern University's player was critically injured last wkend, Richt & his wife spent several hrs...this on bama wkend....at the hospital with the player. The player ended up having major neck surgery & has no feeling from his waist down. Richt saw to it that the family's flight expenses were covered as were many of their other expenses. As well, he & several members of his staff & their wives have been acively involved in setting up various fund raisers for the family. Do you honestly think Saban would have spent the Sunday before such a big game this way? Not meant as a knock on Saban, rather, just reinforcing what a class act Richt is. Dislike him as a coach all you want but there is no reason to knock or question his faith.

Yeah. AU would never stoop to recruiting College Park, Ga or anywhere else in this trashy, thugish, hypocritical state.

yeah well i guess there's no reason to go to church and actively proclaim one's faith, then, since in your view that would be pure hypocrisy.

and St. Paul did PLENTY of active proclaiming in the name of Jesus. you know, letters and shite.

St. Paul's letters were written specifically TO small communities to whom he was evangelizing.

You may have noticed, his letters weren't addressed to those communities with CC: to Caesar.

But feel free to stand on the street corner yelling that you are a Christian and you're better than everybody else if you think that's what Jesus has called you to do.

I'm not even a Christian (anymore). I don't LIKE public displays of religion. But Christianity is clearly a religion that encourages and embraces active proclamation. Some of those active proclaimers are probably fairly admirable examples of 'true Christians' in their quiet pursuits as well.

At the Georgia v Vandy game a few years ago the Georgia players were throwing punches in every pile. Not once, over and over again. I am talking pulling the elbow back and unleashing many times over. It was bad enough that you could see it in the stands and for reasons that nobody could figure out the refs just sat on it.

That resulted in the Franklin/Granthem confrontation that Georgia fans decided was Franklin's fault. Honestly it was the dirtiest game I have ever witnessed firsthand. Richt did nothing.

They have a few team altercations with Vandy over the years

I'm sure that's totally how it went down.

Pretty much was. Hard fought game by both teams and to me it looked like the Georgia players were trying to get a reaction out of the Vandy players (Vandy's line was not afraid of fighting). I sat about 100m away and watched it happening. Did not expect Georgia fans to agree but don't really care either.

There's really no need for this.

Yep, I'm sure the refs just allowed the Georgia players to repeatedly punch Vandy players. It's crazy that no one on TV said anything about it either.

Goddamn conspiracy I tell you.

Ask Auburn fans about Georgia players punching their guys in 2010. Just saying, repeat offenders.

Sorry, in the Army we used meters for gauging range and feet for altitude. Apologies.

2010 sealed the deal for me.

UGA started shite from the opening kickoff. Personal foul for a late hit. Then another one the very next play. Then their safety trying to start a fight. All in the vet first minute of the game (which gave AU an easy td). Then they got what they asked for with Fairley fricking them up in return. However, when Richt cleared to sidelines and tried to start an all out brawl, that was it. Sealed the deal that that is who he is.

And just to be clear, Fairley was a borderline dirty player.

However UGA started and asked for all of it and more in 2010.

And their fans went full retard playing the victim.

He isn't a hypocrite anymore than anyone on here is. We all don't live up to what we espouse at times no matter our belief system. Richt has been a high character coach as far as I can tell and just because he likes gimmicks to fire his team up don't make him a hypocrite. Sometimes that stuff works like the year they beat UF, and sometimes it doesn't but that's just personal preference. It's not like he is telling his players to hide knives in their jerseys and stab opposing players when the refs aren't looking.
