Was Saban not 59 when Bama hired him?

If they lose the Michigan game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go

This. USCe is not a top tier job.

Doesn't seem like a a good fit anyhow.

All HC's expire at age 62, there is nothing you can do about that, they all turn to garbage after that, amirite?

Dantonio is a great coach and should stay at Michigan State.

I want a young guy with a lot of energy to take over our program.

Ironically, 11 years ago, when Spurrier took the job in Columbia he was 59.

Their fans are worried as frick about us taking him from them. I trolled their fb page last night.

What they should realize is that if WE don't, somebody is. He won't be there next year unless he takes a drastic nosedive the rest of this season.

If you're the mayor of Miniapolis, would you leave to become the mayor of your hometown Toledo?

Imagine if South Carolina could pull a coach that could actually win a Rose Bowl. Over/under 3 SEC wins in 3 years for Dantonio?

I think USC is in too precarious a position to pass on a proven commodity like Dantonio if he wants the job. If they went with Dantonio, and he gave them six or seven good years, then they'd be in position to take a younger guy next time. But, if they go from Spurrier to a roll of the dice type hire, they better get lucky or they could set back the program for a long, long time.

This. Excellent point aggy. And in the next 6 or 7 years, a lot of the young coaches just starting off now could be ready for the SEC. If Dantonio could have success at MSU, he could have success at Columbia. It's not like he's going to Tuscaloosa or Auburn or BR. The east is the east for a reason. He could succeed there, no doubt. Would sure put a scare in old Dabo anyways.

USCe would be nuts to not offer him the job. 5 year at 5 million per year is a good gig. I mean saban is 63 right now and i'm sure bama fans would like to see him coach 5 more years.

He played there, he has already won a rose bowl at Michigan State, and the SEC East doesn't have any good teams right now.

And Jim Harbaugh is about to make him his bitch.

After Dantonio and Harbaugh beat the pee out of OSU this year, there's going to be another coaching vacancy."family and health" reasons?

And yet CMD is the one with documented health problems.
