For every bit of progression your offense makes I expect similar strides from defenses.

K. So we're back to square one and, seeing how we don't play UF, TAMU should 10-1 in the regular season, yes?

This topic is ridiculous.

Au contraire. No more 1st half catching people off guard.

That argument flies for Florida and Florida only (who we don't play).

No one buys that Chevis and Saban didn't watch TAMU's film.

Who is Chevis? Is A&M sneaking up on some Mexican dignitaries?

First 3 drives...3 touchdowns. Last 8 drives...1 touchdown. Sounds like caught off guard to me.

There is a difference between watching on film and experiencing it live and in person.

He also happened to throw 2 interceptions but let's just blame those on the kicker.

Why in the world would we blame a missed field goal on the field goal kicker?

I'm sure kickers miss 33 yarders all the time, right?

Also, in the same bizarro world, Bertolet was 3 of 4 on the season on field goals 50 yards or more. Guess which one he missed.

That applies to literally every team and every player.

Manziel kills teams because he's chaotic. He's magic when things don't go as planned. You can't plan for chaos and improvisation--you just hope your'n are better than his'n. Scheming doesn't matter when the play's been alive for 5 or 6 seconds. And that's when JFF does his damage.

Defense and special teams left the offense with a short field twice and the most Manziel could get was 1 first down. If he is so damn good why didn't he try and score a touchdown and not leave it up to the kicker. Oh wait he did and he got bitch slapped around by a defense in the second half which is the whole purpose of this thread.

1 touchdown in 90 minutes. Sounds like planning to me.

Bama - Had 9 game films on Manziel and he still lead the offense to a 20 point lead out of the gates. In Tuscaloosa

You think anyone can just prepare for a QB of his caliber, when he's peaking for the season, with one week of preparation? We had games before that to prep for, it wouldn't matter how much film you have if you only have a week to watch it. Saban is gonna be planning for Johnny all Summer, AND the only game we play before that will basically be a "Practice for JFF" game, THEN we get a bye week to clean up any errors.

We kickin dat arse.

LSU played containment the whole game. But they had the jimmies and joes to pull it off.

They basically just stood around and waited for JFF to run, at which time they chased him.

They could combat the chaos because they have premier athletes. They'll do the same again next year if and only if they trot out something similar.

JFF's hand is the only hand that can beat a Royal Flush.

What?

You're runningbacks, without JFF's play opening it up, won't do shite against our front seven this year. You guys are worse than the Arky fans last year. Well, Roger and TLF are good.

The frick's he gonna do?

Ask his 8-ball which direction JFF will scramble if the pocket gets tight? Better be careful. If the 8-ball is wrong, he'll only have a few seconds to flip a coin and tell the D which angle Manziel will cut after he's gashed them for 20.

Yeah, he'll figure him out there in his office.
