At his height 180 still would be pretty far from "sickly" imo he looks fine

Not saying he is fine just doesn't look like the crackhead you make him out to be either

Got a bad feeling for how this will turn out. I know that all of his issues is self-inflicted but it is tragic all the same.

What type of rehab did he go to last year?

So Jamarcus being a bust makes it ok for Manziel? I'm sure that's the same type attitude he has right now. But I'm not quite so sure I'd be using Jamarcus as an example. Seeing how well things turned out for him....

I'm guessing his legal team eventually settles with the Browns for a much lower sum than the original guaranteed amount.

Naw. The player's union would have a field day if you retroactively tried to do that. That article you're quoting is pure speculation.

most addicts don't have the money JFF has. as a recovering addict, I can honestly say that what saved my life on many binges was running out of money...a history of rich rock stars shows what can happen when money is not a factor.

It took someone very close to me serving significant time. Hate to say this, but Johnny's bank account would be irrelevant if he went to jail on drug charges. Might be the best thing for him.

Maybe. Maybe not. Plenty of people live a long time as addicts.

So he missed a few workouts and lost some muscle mass? Doesn't mean he's an addict. He said himself he's doesn't party and he's not drinking anymore. Let the man live

You have to be kidding me. Every addict lies... a lie is what they live. Manzeil says he isn't drinking anymore? And you believe it?

There are many people on this site who excuse weed, alcohol abuse, other drugs as being just harmless fun. They are not harmless, and excusing abuse is either denial or enabling. I suspect that most who OK it here are addicts themselves in denial, or are enablers.

It doesn't take many visits to a rehab center, or to AA meetings to see the results of addiction.. even to weed. And it is horrifying to watch a loved family member turn into a zombie, stealing, lying, a hollow form of their former selve, living in the gutter to follow an addiction.

It is terrible to see what is happening to Manziel as the downward trend is accelerating. Knowing the course addiction takes he is currently beyond help because he doesn't own the first step. It is beyond sad ... it is gut wrenching.

It was funny at first when he struggled in the NFL, because he was such a pompous arse. It's not funny at all anymore.

It's really sad to see.
