Isn't his family pretty well off? So they can't, aren't supposed to, make money off of him playing football at A&M but they just won't stand for someone else doing so?

Sounds like this is a way you could legally pay a player. Pay somebody who's not associated with the school to sell shirts that infringe on the trademark and then have them sue that person for it. Not saying that's what is happening here but what's stopping a school from doing it?
