“We let them off the hook, but we’ve got them at home this year.”

I don't see anything he said that is not true. Auburn choked that game away. Reminds me of a certain Iron Bowl in 2010.

Yeah and if Sims hadn't thrown those 3 interceptions it wouldn't have mattered if they scored TD's or kicked FG's.

Bama screwed up just as much as Auburn did in that game.

He's right. They could have put more on us. The bogged down in the red zone several times and had some clock management issues at the end of the half.

I love Gus as a coach. He is a fantastic gameplanner and play caller.

I would rather hear coaches talking like this than the usual coach speak. That being said, just get it done next time so there is no reason to have to say this.

"They're better than we are; we're not good enough. We shouldn't be thinking about beating these 49ers; we shouldn't be talking about it, 'cause the Saints ain't good enough. And you guys shouldn't write about us being a playoff team and all that bullstuff—that's malarkey. We ain't good enough to beat those guys and it was proven out there today. It's that simple. We're not good enough yet. We've got a long way to go; we've got a lot of work to do; we're close, and close don't mean shite. And you can put that on TV for me. I'm tired of coming close, and we're gonna work our asses off until we ain't close anymore, and it may take some time; we're gonna get it done; we aren't in there—we aren't good enough. They're better than us—black and white, simple, fact!

"Could've, would've, should've" is the difference in what I'm talking about! The good teams don't come in and say "Could've." They get it done! All right? It's that simple! I'm tired of saying "Could've, should've, would've." That's why we ain't good enough yet! 'Cause we're saying "Could've" and they ain't!

I'm pissed off right now. You bet your arse I am. I'm sick of coulda, woulda, shoulda, coming close, if only."

It's kinda an Auburn tradition. The basis for moving the Iron Bowl out of Birmingham, really. "If we played them in Auburn, we might win consistently".

As long as Alabama wins, I don't care if Auburn gets 1000 yards in the game.

That would be the perfect game for both sides. Alabama gets the real victory while Auburn gets the moral one.

This is the same shite he said in the post game presser. I like watching his offense, but this along with his presser after the Iron Bowl make him look like nothing more than a hick high school offensive coordinator.
