After seeing him play for the first time, it was not impressive. Perhaps he had an off game and I know the bama defense had a role in his struggles. Still, from what I saw, he does have a powerful rifle arm but he lacks touch on his passes. He is wild and erratic. Moreover, he lacks mobility and proper footwork. He looked clumsy and awkward out there today.
Greg McElroy was clearly the better QB. My first look at him too, and it was impressive. He has a good arm with touch and accuracy on his throws. Moreover, he had poise and it is obvious he knows this offense cold. He is not merely a game manager but an actual playmaker. He is already a lot better than John Parker Wilson ever was.

I thought our D was good but really that's to be expected, but I don't think we usually hold Arkansas to 7 though, their receivers did not help them out with all the drops and I don't think they played up to their potential overall. Maybe we got in their heads a bit but still you have to catch the ball.
But I thought they played well at times on defense. I haven't been that frustrated with our run blocking in two years. Outside of the run by Trent (combination of bad tackling/TR being from another planet than most people) and the gimmicky play to Julio I thought they played pretty well.
