Back to the original thread, sorta. Is Franks projected to be the starting QB next year at UF? I know when LSU was recruiting him, he was pretty thin, so has he put on enough weight to stay healthy in the SEC? What does your returning roster look like?

are there actually any multi-generational people in Fla.?...I'm asking and I live there.

Yes and they are much like the rest of the SEC fans. Loyal, generally level headed, but caught in the heat of the moment sometimes and too emotional.

Back when Spurrier was at UF, Auburn came to town one year with Baby Bowden as head coach. It was 1996. Auburn upset UF on the prior trip in 94. But in 96 they were getting a mudhole stomped in them. I was sitting next to the AU fan section. Old AU fan stood up and screamed for Bowden to be fired and proclaimed "Pat Dye aint never embarrassed us like this." UF was rolling everyone at the time and was ranked #1 and on the way to a national title. Also, Spurrier had soundly beaten Pat Dye in 90, 91, and 92.

Momentary lapse of reason I guess.

Franks is not a shoe in. He has gained weight. He was indeed skinny. He's currently listed at 219 lbs. Not sure what he came in at as I'm not one of the loony fans that studies this kind of thing.

The offensive roster will be about the same minus QB. That's the biggest problem for the team as Appleby can find or hit wide open receivers.

Defense takes a hit with seniors and on paper should take a step back.

Living in New Orleans, yall dont bring dick for fans to the Sugar Bowl.

NO is a shite hole and it's by far a much longer trip for the majority of UF fans than other SEC schools, and therefore costlier. Some of the more populous areas in Florida are a bit south, like in Tampa. That becomes a significant road trip. I had the chance to go to the Sugar Bowl one year with UF. It's just too much money compared to making a road trip to Knoxville or other places, and Knoxville is almost the same number of miles from Gville as NO. Hotels etc are out of control compared to other trips.

Franks is on the SARM nutritional plan. He'll be benching about 550 to start fall drills.

To be fair, after Spurrier beat Bama 35-0 in 1991, Bama fans were borderline suicidal.
