That summed up the events perfectly.

Almost all rational fans disagree with LSU fans and realize that LSU was trying to use a possible natural catastrophe to strong arm the UF admin. UF isnt going to bend to LSUs demands. Deal with it. Over half of UF's players could have, or had, family affected by the storm. Security personnel and other emergency personnel were diverted to areas of need.

If you wanna play, we'll see you on Nov 19. Otherwise, quit yer bitchin.

UForfeit is either incompetent or dodged LSU. That's why y'all are pussies, not because of storm.

We couldn't play the game Saturday which your beaver toothed coach and chicken little AD insisted was going to happen. The real question is WHY YOUR AD REFUSED TO PLAY THE GAME EITHER SUNDAY OR MONDAY IN GAINSVILLE, AND WHY SKANKY ALLOWED THEM TO GET AWAY WITH IT??????

Haven't kept up with this thread much, and this is a random hypothetical, but I do have to wonder how this all would have gone down back when Urban Meyer coached at Florida, and UF and LSU were both really good...a lot more pressure and hype to get the game played no matter what, that's for sure.

There has got to be some solution, regardless. It's unfair to try to make LSU cancel an already scheduled home game (Nov. 19th) as the last option. Playing today should have happened...

Florida is getting raked over the coals by the majority of "rational" people. Asking Florida to postpone the game 1 day is not strong arming them. And y'all need to get off the player's having families in the path of the storm. If the game had originally been a road game anywhere, you bet your arse Florida would have been required to play.

Negative on strong arm tactics. This wasn't about security and safety until Thurs afternoon

You do realize that when the decision had to be made (Thursday) the hurricane was going to hit Florida pretty hard?

Which is why reasonable people without agendas would have made the decision earlier to at least postpone the game IN GV for a day or two to allow safe travel for the opposing team and sort out other details. If the area was hit hard, then canx. If not, play the game.

WAFB reporting that LSU:
1) offered to play Florida in Gainesville on Saturday night, Sunday or Monday...Florida refused.
2) offered to play Florida in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Sunday or Monday...Florida refused.
3) offered to play Florida in any city in America on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday and to also take care of Florida's transportation...Florida refused.
4) offered to play Florida in an empty stadium if they couldn't get security and stadium workers... Florida refused.
5) secured Florida hotel rooms in Baton Rouge and New Orleans...Florida refused.
6) offered to send its plane to transport the Gators to Baton Rouge or New Orleans... Florida refused.

What more can LSU do?? It's quite obvious Florida did not want to play this game this weekend. What were UF's motivations? ... It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. This game should have been played somewhere this weekend, and LSU offered everything in its power to make that happen... Florida refused.

What really pisses me off is the narrative coming out of Florida and the SEC office that somehow LSU is the bad guy for balking at cancelling our Nov19th home game and just casually pissing away $21 million (USA buyout + home game revenue + local economy impact). Are you kidding me??? ...LSU and Baton Rouge have to give up $21 million for Florida's intentional and malicious screw-up!?! How ludicrous is it when put this way...in football history, has there ever been an "away" team have to sacrifice a home game in order to accommodate the "home" team? The game should have been played THIS weekend, it's ridiculous that we even have to discuss toying with future schedules because of Florida's stubbornness and deceptive motivations.

There were quite a few other games in Florida and along the coast this weekend. I'm sure they were all cancelled.... Oh wait, they weren't, because those schools were led by people that displayed professionalism and competence.

The narrative changed from suspicion that Foley and McElTooth were trying to use the hurricane to dodge a tough matchup for their beatup squad to outrage that Sankey allowed them to get away with it. The University of Florida Cowards.

As did every other school in the state of Florida, Georgia and the Carolina. The only difference is UF is hiding behind the mother natures skirt like a the little bitches you are.
